Love cats, live with multiple and I started Stray a while ago Nice game. Recommend if you have Extra.

I upgraded to Extra to pick up Stray and a few other games. I'm working now, but they're downloading while I work.

But your survey is missing some choices. I'm really more of a dog person, while my wife and kids are more of cat people. So we compromised, and have three cats. The first one we had decided I was her person, despite me being the only not-cat-person in the family. Go figure.

More of a dog person but cats are great too. Want to play stray but gonna finish up forza horizon 1 and infamous second son first.

@Tsushima played for about half an hour and it seems perfectly enjoyable but I think I'd have waited for a sale if it hadn't come with PS Extra. Then again it's only 25 bucks so how much of a discount will it ever get really?

Still, seems more of an "occasionally play when I don't feel like getting invested in a major title" type game. Imo.

Dont own a cat as i value my leather sofa too much but will sub for a month of extra to play Stray. Looks like an enjoyable game without the scratches.

Downloaded this morning with PS Plus! Miss my family’s two little cats (who lacked the most creative of names, literally “Stimpy” and “Kitty”). Very excited for this one!

I have been living a catless life for far too long since I'm often away from home for longer periods, but I absolutely adore the little furballs! Got Stray through PS+ Premium, and giving it a try tonight.

I'm not on PS+, but I might snag it for a month so I can play Stray

If you have Extra/Premium why wouldn't you play it? Even if it isn't your kind of game, broadening your tastes is where these subscriptions shine.

Do you like dags? I prefer dags to cats. On topic: no interest in any cat, bread, surgeon simulator etc. Unless they make those in VR. Now that would be something.

I'm a dog person but I'm fine with Cats. I got Stray on Plus Extra ( So hard not to say PLUS ULTRA) but I'll play it later on after I beat Iki Island.

Got it through PS Plus Extra but I do have the physical copy pre-ordered from ShopTo. As someone who has 2 cats I am heavily enjoying this game, it is spot on with the interaction the cat has in game and is fun to run around exploring and jumping as well. Sony made a good decision having this on Plus Extra.

Cats are great, but I wasn't going to play this. It seems to be one of those games that get critical acclaim, but where I just don't get the appeal. Maybe I'm missing something about this game.

I like cats, but I can't have one because of the busy main road right outside the entrance to my cave. I'd have to replace it weekly. It'd get too expensive and it wouldn't be fair on the kitties.

I have it downloading right now, I don't know if I will play it tonight as I have been enjoying Lawn Mowing Simulator better than I thought I would but it is definitely getting played in the near future.

I really hope for them, that the disc is at least patched when it comes out and not a useless frisbee as a lot of games.

Lol I love the option "no, I hate cats" cause I actually do hate them. But I upgraded to Extra 1 week ago to test its library so, of course, I'll be playing Stray. I might start it today or tomorrow.

I have two cats. They do my head in. One of them was brought up by a dog. The dog took him under his wing when he was a kitten. Now he thinks he's a dog too. He stands with his arse sticking out of the cat litter tray, pooing on the floor - because his head is in the box, he thinks his whole body is in. Also he chases his tail, and howls at the door when my wife goes out. The other cat thinks he's an absolute embarrassment, I can see it in her eyes.

I can't even remember what I'm doing here. Is this just a safe space for us to vent about our annoying pets?

I'm a dog person, I dislike certain traits of domesticated cats i.e hunting birds for sheer pleasure (cats share too many traits with humans for me as well tbh) but I can't hate an animal, what is this? Hate is such a powerful emotion. How can you hate an animal 😅 so I voted Meh.

I enjoy seeing cats do silly things as much as the next person, however 🐱🐍🥒

I'm not a fan of cats. Yes, I know, I'm the only person in the world. Hence, this game is decent for me. If I were a cat lover, I'd probably enjoy it a whole lot more. But it looks great and so far, about half way through, I'm having a good time. I got it through Plus but I think I would have regretted buying it.

I will get to it eventually, as I am gonna wait until my sub is due to expire and then see what games I wanna play on extra vs what I've already got. Not point subbing to something if I will hardly use it, as with me it is not just the value of the service it is whether or not I will actually get round to playing the games I am interested in.

Re: Stray: It’s fun so far, but I’m terrible at games that require intuition. I hate that feeling of struggle, the confusion of figuring out where I need to go or what I need to do to get through to get to the next section. Games like Rain, Pid, Braid, Fez, Subnautica, The Persistence or Deliver Us the Moon—they’re all damn good games, and I can see that they’re great games as I’m playing them, but I always seem to get to a certain point where I feel stuck in a corner, confused, stressed, unable to progress…and that’s when I stop playing. Ugh! It’s a bummer, because I really WANT to enjoy games like these, but they feel too much like work, and I play games for fun. If I want to work, I’ll go and work—know what I mean?! Anyway, all of this is why I don’t get through many open world games, either—they feel too much like work.

Give me a 3rd person perspective, a linear storyline path, and some hack and slash mechanics, maybe make it a roguelike, and I’m all in. In other words, if they turned Stray into a re-imagining of Tokyo Jungle, I’d be in video game heaven. That’s not what Stray is, though.

Regardless, I can tell a lot of love and care and attention has been given to the creation of Stray, and I haven’t given up yet. I’ll work on it some more. 👍

I have spent an hour playing Stray whilst my young daughter watched. It's a very unique and artistic game... interesting concept and design. It's possibly more art than game but it's definitely worth the asking price and it looks and runs great on PS5.

I will most likely see it's conclusion in the coming days as I am intrigued to play more...more so for its unique world....

I'm not in any rush to play it. I'm on a real farming sim mood lately so whenever I have free time I just boot that up and relax for a while.

Most of my office is on holidays so the remaining 4 of us gathered in the lounge to play it for half an hour! Really lovely, we lost our minds when the cats CNA interact with each other 😅 might become a lunch time regular for the next week

Completed the game trophy hunting now should hopefully have the plat trophy by tomorrow a trophy popped while I was typing this message lol

Do I like cats? Hmm, I got 2 big cat tattoos as fundraisers (and one more for fun!). You bet I bought Stray retail (digital, AUD$40 on PS Store, that’s like barely half a tank of petrol these days).

I’m not allowing myself to start it until I finish Alan Wake Remastered though; I’ve reached that age where I can’t multitask across multiple games without instantly forgetting the controls(!)… 😸

Massive cat fan but this game ain’t gunna be too in depth story or game wise without quest based missions involving npc’s and dialogue or character growth and such, so I’ll get round to it when I do. For what it is (a small indie game) I’m sure it will be adequate for a few hours entertainment

I lived with a friend like 10 years ago that had a orange cat, named Toodies. Anytime I was home and at my computer, Tood would saunter in, and nudge my elbow with his face to let him on my lap. He'd do that until I let him up, giving half meows past the 5min mark. Was super cute, and Tood ruled.

I also had a cat when I was a kid. Maybe once a week it would come chill with me. Then after a few minutes it would scratch me and run away. That cat sucked, and was the devil.

I definitely will play this game, and maybe if I can find a Toodies, I'll get a cat.

I love it so far. I would have easily picked it up for 30$ If I didn’t have ps+.

We typically get bent over on pricing in our NZD but in this case it is one reason why I moved to PS Plus Extra. Free Stray

GoW Ragnarok is another great example. $139 for basic digital version, $159 for fancy pants one. One retailer is selling physical versions for $109 on pre-order that has more bonuses than the basic digital one lol. But those bonuses are all unlocked through game progression anyway so an absolute waste of money.

Definitely going to play this later in the year. Have plenty of other games to play so I'll wait for a sale.

I'm planning on waiting either for the physical release if there will be a normal PS4 retail version, or until I find the higher-priced special edition second-hand. I'm okay with waiting; I realized last night that ever since I lost my last cat to a cancer-induced heart attack in December, I haven't been in a headspace where I'd be able to relax & enjoy a game with a feline protagonist that can die.

I got it on Plus Extra.

It’s a very neat little game.

The atmosphere and music really reminds me of Ecco the Dolphin. Minus the bone crushing difficulty.

As for cats… I have mixed feelings on them. I prefer dogs. But cats are decent pets because they’re far more self sufficient than dogs.

Stray is on my “must play” list and I have 2 very friendly little buggers. More please!

Tried it for a couple of hours yesterday.. a better game than I expected (gameplay is exactly as I wanted it to be, and there are fewer technical issues than I encounter with typical indie releases).
That said, I do live with a little stray so I'm biased.

I only played about 15 minutes of it last night but it seems neat.

Always had cats around when I was a kid but am now allergic to pretty much anything with hair that's not Human

Played for about 15 mins, so far looks good but not quite as good as I thought it would.

Well, technically I'm not playing it, but I downloaded it via PS+ and my 11 and 8 year old daughters are.

Played a few hours last night with my two Rhodesian Ridgeback doggos next to me.

I finished it this morning. around 5 hours of content in first playthrough, with about 3/4 more hours to go for the platinum.

I'm really excited to play stray but since my cat just died last week it's been really difficult to start any cat based game
