@themightyant Nice! Thanks for the gameplay loop. I didn't even know you could "detonate" the ice. I should really pay more attention to what some of the 4*s can do lol.

@z0d15g0d I get it! Every character has their own mechanics and the more of these types of games you play the more specific mechanics you have to master. It's part of the reason I stick with Carlotta + Zhezhi rather than learning Phoebe + Spectro Rover, or Changli + Brandt etc. I'm not great with Camellya either. It's too much info otherwise.

Doesn't help that WW is the absolute WORST for their mechanic descriptions ingame. I hardly read them anymore and just go to places like I Win To Lose or Prydwen to simplify mechanics and rotations.

@themightyant Lmao so true. Whenever I read the descriptions for a new character I pull after a few secs I'm always asking myself "Wtf did I just read?" I started using Camellya more often as she works well with Cantarella. I agree she's pretty tricky to use but quite deadly so long as you don't get hit and it's easier to see enemy hits coming as most of the time she's spinning in the same spot.

Have you tried the new stress mode? It's like a kick in the teeth trying to choose which debuff will stress you out the least but provide the most points lol.

@z0d15g0d - Just make her able to tank a hit, as @themightyant said you only need her to get in and out to buff your incoming DPS. If your dodge is on point you can use her as is. I still run my Verina at lvl 50.

@z0d15g0d Yes, I did the stress mode and got all gems (Astrite?), mostly I found it pretty easy. I didn't go to 80-100 or whatever was the max total stress to get all rewards only enough for all the gems and everything except a few basic items from the shop that could be got with half a day's Waveplate.

It was kinda fun as I FINALLY got to see Carlotta's final burst and how much it hits for. lol (everyone else dies)
Similar with the new weekly boss, she's perfectly tuned so that 1 full team rotation and they die to Carlotta's final hit. (But you don’t seem to see the damage numbers if you kill them)

Outside that i'm still REALLY struggling with Whimpering Wastes, even though they apparently made it easier. I think I must be missing some mechanic, or elemental weaknesses, because even my Carlotta + Zhezhi combo isn't getting half of what I need on one side.

@themightyant Haha yea I tend to use Carlotta's ult right away as by the time I rotate back to her it's full again. I got all the Asterite rewards but was curious as to what max stress levels were but there's just no incentive to do so. if there was an echo skin at the end of all that stress I might have.

I'm going to retry Whimpering Wastes once Cantarella is fully built as she's a pseudo healer and see how far I get. Shorekeeper is back in just over a week so farming her mats to at least get her to a usable stage. Do you have her sig weapon?

@z0d15g0d I do two things first when I switch to her (assuming intro in) before her Ult.

1) Skill x2 (the freeze time / flip shoot in the air attack)
2) Assuming you have done her skill already and you intro her Forte should be full, now I do a hold/heavy attack (this does the broken glass attack and turns her crystal red). This step is really important as having full forte boosts her Resonanace Liberation by 80% until you switch her out, it's the key to maximising her damage. And the heavy attack reduces the cool down of her skill by 6s allowing you to use it again at the end of her rotation which makes her team rotation smoother.
3) Then her Ultimate x6
4) Skill x2 (if pushed for time with Shorekeeper's enhanced intro I will outro at #4 first and then come back to her briefly to do #4 & #5 to start building her up for her next rotation)
5) Echo
6) Outro

@themightyant That's pretty much what I do with her besides the echo skill. I only use that when I'm surrounded and have run out of stamina.

I was just playing the Virtual Crisis event and there's a very clear difference between using Shorekeeper or Verina on team Carlotta. @themightyant have you got her Sig weapon too?

@z0d15g0d No I don’t really do signature weapons in these games, I prefer more characters. The only one I have is Jiyan’s.

@themightyant Lol smart way to play. I keep falling into fomo? as growing up with rpgs or action games I always ensured I got the best weapon form my main. I'm even one of the few people I know who did the 4 hr dungeon in FF12 to get the ultimate weapon in the chest that had a 1% drop chance. I did it 4 times and was lucky lol.

@z0d15g0d I don't know if it's smart. Signature weapons are a massive (often 25% - 40%) damage bump in this game and you can only have a team of 4 at any one time. But I just prefer more characters and seeing what I can do with a F2P roster.

However over time I often prefer Vertical Investment - weapons and character dupes - in Genshin, and to a lesser extent HSR, by the time a rerun happens I know if I love and actually use a character and want to make them more powerful to keep them relevant.

Neither is wrong.

Lost the 50:50 in 15 pulls and got Verina dupe. Now I'm at 52 pulls and still nothing. Done most of the events so now time to explore the maps for free crystals. Hopefully there's enough plus dailies to get Shorekeeper.

@z0d15g0d fingers crossed. There should be enough! Do you have any spare shop credit (is it afterglow coral, I forget?)

Verina dupes are pretty good though.

@z0d15g0d - Check your achievement list too mate. There's loads of simple stuff like beating all the red elite enemies that are worth 10 or 20 gems a pop. Have a look on YT for hidden chest guides, missions etc. Good luck man!

I remembered there's actually a "loot mapper" utility so been using that on the first map and so far there's quite a lot of loot untouched lol. It's so easy to forget all these tools when there's a new one each version update.
@themightyant Those Corals were the last to go lol my E6 Calcharo will have to wait longer. He's currently E4 and that E6 looks like it will be a visual feast.

@Shigurui Those red exclamation icons always ensure that I collect them the instant they're unlocked. I think I've beaten most elite enemies except for the new area. Those mages are hella cheap and depending on the time of day I can't see all the stupid yellow projectiles that can 1 shot you if unlucky.

@themightyant Finally got her at 74 pulls that was a lot of crystal farming. I see what you mean about rarely getting to see Carlotta's final shot from her ult. I've barely built Shorekeeper and she's already out performed Verina.

@z0d15g0d nice! Pleased for you, she’s great, my most used character. First in every team. I was considering maybe going for dupes but the one I really want is her S2 (40% ATK to allies)

@themightyant I've been trying her with all my other team setups and they're all OP now. No one gets to finish their ults. Calcharo is just insane with her added buffs I couldn't believe my eyes watching bosses HP get stripped so quickly. I think its ToA time lol. I'll let you know how I get on with that.
I'm using the quest reward weapon "Call of the Abyss" on her and it works perfect. I hope they give more unique weapons for completing quests so I can save crystals for character banners. The MC's new weapon is pretty cool too.

I'm on boat 11 of Whimpering. What's your max score/rating? I've only managed around 1560/B's in Respawning Waters: Chasm (pre Shorekeeper).
Gaze into the Abyss hard tier is a joke. HP sponge and hit stuns so if you get hit forget about dodge recovery. I've completed 2 on normal and on 5933 points.
