The last few weeks have been a particularly busy period for big games, to the point where we almost feel a bit sorry for games like Ghostwire: Tokyo. A solid action adventure title by most accounts, Ghostwire will no doubt find a dedicated audience, but following up juggernaut releases like Horizon Forbidden West, and of course, the almighty Elden Ring, is never going to be easy without being a juggernaut yourself.
We gave what is supposedly Bethesda's final PlayStation game a 6/10 in our Ghostwire: Tokyo PS5 review. While not a bad experience, our conclusion cautions: "Excellent PS5 DualSense controller support, haunting elements, and nice visuals aside, Ghostwire: Tokyo will have to go down as a miss."
And so, as always, we want to know if you're buying this latest release. Have you been looking forward to Ghostwire: Tokyo? Or is it one for the bargain bin? Vote in our polls, and then break out some cool hand motions in the comments section below.

I watched a bunch of videos and really dig it. The world is absolutely gorgeous and haunting to explore.
Definitely will get it down the road. If it weren’t for Horizon and Elden it would’ve been a pre-order for sure. I think despite its faults, it still looks like a fun weird time!
Waiting for the game to go on sale. Considering it's a Bethesda game that will probably be the case within the next few months.
I did not but I will. I was more interested in Kirby as well as a game called Imp of the Sun.
While I'm bummed out by some of the cons in reviews, I decided not to cancel my pre-order. I really like the Evil Within games so I wanted to give this a chance.
Like Deathloop probably will drop in price fast. Also since their games wont come to playstation anymore, theres no reason to support day 1
I did and am really enjoying so far. Fun combat and cool spooky game world. It’s something completely different from other open world games, which is what I wanted. Agree with the more positive reviews out there!
Preordered, sort of felt like I wanted to cancel the preorder, but it was too late. Oh well. I got it with gift money, so no big loss!
I'll buy it when I get my PS5
Yeah I'll buy it, the animations, combat, and tokyo alone are enough for me to buy it.
Yep, I had it pre-ordered but I'm deep into HFW & GT7 so no chance I will be starting it this weekend unfortunately!
I’ll purchase this when it’s down to about £20
Wait a year and play it on gamepass
Yeah, I bought it. Ghostwire: Tokyo was more appealing to me than Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands in the end.
Tried The Evil Within and wasn't impressed.
I might try this out on Game Pass someday if I ever get an Xbox or GPU capable of running it well, but it doesn't look like something I'd want to buy.
@NomNom Same. I'm only going to get a PS5 when it's easy
Yeah. I bought it day 1, but I bought it on PC so I was definitely able to get it a bit cheaper than retail. It pretty and a cool concept. Nothing groundbreaking, but not everything needs to be groundbreaking. It a good palate cleanser after elden ring and HFW before Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Plus I don't have an allegiance to Playstation, so I would still like to see what the developers can do and make future games.
As someone who played and beat both evil within games, this one does nothing for me.
Too many games coming out. Waiting for it to show up on Game Pass personally.
I got the game yesterday and put 3 hours in. Really like the gameplay, style, graphics. Im liking it more than Deathloop and I think the dualsense features are some of the best since Returnal. Not for everyone but a real gem of a game. Can see it going on underrated lists in a few years
Nope, I'm subbed to GPU so I'll play this and Deathloop when they go on there as permanent additions to the service.
The Evil Within was a major disappointment to me, but I love what they did with GW Tokyo, I'll definitely buy it in a good sale
Yeah will get it eventually. I played the first Evil Within and thought it was decent enough. Not played the sequel but will at some point.
Kirby sucked my wallet dry. 👛
Would consider GWT for maybe $20. Just looks... kinda dull.
@PenguinL
Agree just like death loop can see this dropping very quickly in price , expect it too be around £25 in two to three months
Definitely getting this once I get a PS5. I really thought I had a chance during the PS Direct yesterday to finally get one but still no luck. PS4 still going strong!
I didn't like The Evil Within. But this game so far is excellent. Don't get this 6/10 review.
I am enjoying the game so far, but only like 1 hour in!
Not my style of game, plus my catalogue is so backed up im gonna pass on this one.
Yeah I got it to support Tango and their games. Ppl complain about not having enough Japanese games. When there's one out ppl are nah to it.
After the review you gave it, its a definite purchase. Anything Push says is a bad game is 100 percent always the opposite.
@Nintendo4Sonic its not GTA5 or Fifa its something original so it will never get a good review on here. Surprised Elden Ring did
@Shigurui by permanently you mean one year. Most games on GP are on a year before being replaced with something else. More than enough time to do all the achievements but not permanently
@Shigurui If you have a PS5 I would not recommend that. They put a lot of love and care into the Dualsense and as such the Xbox version will always be inferior, missing a notable feature of the game. It adds lot of immersion in the combat, environment, and feeling the horror elements.
I get waiting for a sale, but definitely don't play this on an Xbox if you own a PS5.
I haven't bought Ghostwire Tokyo yet, going to wait for Black Friday/Christmas sales.
As for the other question, I own both Evil Within games but still haven't played them yet.
On my second trip with Triangle Strategy. No time for anything else.
Given that I've played their evil within games and actually liked them despite my absolute hate against everything horror in games and this game's divisive reviews coupled with the lack of a playstation console means I'll just be waiting till it inevitably drops on gamepass to at least try and enjoy its rendition of Japan.
