Review Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5) - Not the Bethesda Swansong We Hoped For
The evil without
From The Elder Scrolls and Fallout to Dishonored and Wolfenstein, the Bethesda catalogue has been a staple of many a PlayStation console's third-party lineup. Its games are unique and varied. And while not all of them land, you're always in for something a bit different. Microsoft's acquisition of the company means that's all set to...

But it's not great there, either
Ghostwire: Tokyo received a big PS5 update last week, coinciding with the game's Xbox Series X|S launch. News PS5 Exclusive Ghostwire Tokyo Is Coming to Xbox, According to Wall Art in Bethesda Office
Whoopsie daisy
Former PS5 console exclusive Ghostwire Tokyo has been revealed to be coming to Xbox platforms, not by an industry insider or datamined information, but by a swanky piece of wall art in Bethesda Softworks London office, of all things. Twitter user Klobrille picked up on the detail after it was showcased on workplace design company...

Poll Did You Buy Ghostwire: Tokyo?
Hands on
The last few weeks have been a particularly busy period for big games, to the point where we almost feel a bit sorry for games like Ghostwire: Tokyo. A solid action adventure title by most accounts, Ghostwire will no doubt find a dedicated audience, but following up juggernaut releases like Horizon Forbidden West, and of course, the...
News Have a Contractually Obligated Ghostwire Tokyo Trailer
It's coming out soon, you see?
Does anyone else feel like State of Play, in its current guise, only continues to exist because Sony signed contractual obligations to promote Ghostwire Tokyo – and Deathloop – with live broadcasts through until release? That’s how it feels sometimes. Anyway, the Tango Gameworks title continues to look cool, and...

First Impressions Ghostwire: Tokyo Goes Heavy on Supernatural Action
Tango Gameworks demos first 30 minutes
It's safe to say Ghostwire: Tokyo is absolutely nothing like The Evil Within. The first game out of Japanese studio Tango Gameworks was a masterclass in horror design (the same can be said of its underrated sequel), and there has not been anything quite like it since. We'd consider that a shame, but what the...

Test Your Skills in “The Spider’s Thread” Roguelite Mode
This update also includes a new game mode called “The Spider’s Thread,” separate from the main game and selectable from the main menu. Challenge yourself to solving the mystery of the Tatariya by clearing 30 randomly selected stages from over 120 tailored challenges to conquer!
This mode will even test veteran players, so be sure to level up by completing challenges such as collecting spirits or locating prized Nekomata Koban as you descend deeper and deeper down the Spider’s Thread. As you clear each stage, you will be rewarded with items such as emotes, figures and stamps which are also useable in the main game!
Expand Your New Spirit Skills to Battle New Foes
Your arsenal in combat grows with the new Perfect Guard Counter Attack and Quick Dodge maneuvers. Also added to the game are Charge Rush skills – powerful, short-range elemental attacks powered by your Ethereal Weaving. You’ll need powered up skills to face new enemies terrorizing Tokyo like the Retribution that can “swim” underground, the invisible Silent Gaze and the high-flying Sanguine Dancer.
And More!
Capture memorable photos with the expanded features of the Photo Mode. Find graffiti in the city to acquire stamps and unlock figures by using in-game currency called Meika in the new activity “Capsule Machines”. For those who really don’t like spooky games, you can replace certain spiritual effects with adorable SHIIBUYA♡HACHI stickers by utilizing the “Reduced Horror Effects” setting. Whether you are a newcomer to Ghostwire: Tokyo or a fan looking for something new to do in Shibuya’s haunted streets, we hope you enjoy the Ghostwire: Tokyo Spider’s Thread update!
