Do we even need to ask? This author's friend list is practically all Horizon Forbidden West right now, and we imagine that it's the same for many of you as well. Well, let's get on with it, then.
Sammy Barker, Editor
I've already poured 70 hours into Horizon Forbidden West, but I'm still coming back for more. There's just so much to do in this game that I can't imagine I'll be finished for a while.
Robert Ramsey, Deputy Editor
Honestly, I'm not sure I ever imagined myself writing this, but I'm spending the weekend in... Night City. Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 has re-entered my life, and because the game actually works on PS5, everything else is on hold until I've written a review. I'm having a lot of fun, if you can believe it.
Stephen Tailby, Associate Editor
I still have a bunch of stuff to do in Horizon Forbidden West, so I'll be diving back in, finishing off that Trophy list and clearing a few more side quests.
Jamie O'Neill, Reviewer
Eivor's pledged to Hamtunscire, so it feels like Assassin's Creed Valhalla's building to some sort of conclusion, which is well-timed, because any spare time for overwhelming open world games will be dedicated to Elden Ring from next week onward.
Well, would you look at that?! Not everyone on the team is playing Horizon Forbidden West! How many of you will be spending the weekend with Aloy? Let us know in the comments section below.

Horizon Forbidden West 😌
Playing gears of war ultimate on series s, man what a blast from the past, the game is still as good as I remember it back then, the gameplay, graphics (it's 60 fps on series s), and the story still hold up, I still like gears 1-3 better than gears 4-5.
Also playing infernax on series s and pc, since it's got xbox-pc save synch. The game is kind of hard since there isn't much save point compared to other games like this. This game is still great though, I recommend it to gamers that like old school games like shovel knight and cyber shadow 😃
I want to start metal gear revengeance and castlevania lord of shadow on series s but there's just so much games to try on gamepass.
HFW of course and enjoying every minute so far, just got to first settlement.
Sony you need to get some consoles on shelf’s,
This chip shortage must be causing so much harm when it comes to cash flow and console, game and controller sales etc.
You could probably double PS5 sales as they stand now.
Horizon Forbidden West obvs....superb so far, just started the trek West. Is there a more stunning looking game ?
Also Total War Warhammer 3 on PC....fantastic as per. What a time to be a gamer!
Have a great weekend guys ❤️
Not HFW as it still hasn't turned up
COD Vanguard it is then.
@wiiware
Enjoy playing old games. I had game pass and stopped it now, until Xbox get some top end NEW AAA games on it, maybe Starfield if lucky in 2022.
It’s a quiet year on game pass for me.
Horizon and Dying Light 2.
@GoodGame mine hasn't either, still hoping it will, so I guess uncharted 4 remastered
Obvioustly Horizon is on the cards but i also made the mistake of getting Sifu. Love the combat but boy am i getting beat badly. Made it to the 2nd level at 32 years old then it all went downhill from there.
(edit) lvl 3 at age 39. Ive learned to dodge 😂
I'm playing Dark Souls 3.
Not Horizon! Will get it eventually, but hope everyone who is playing enjoys it! I'm replaying Demon's Souls in preperation for Elden Ring, cannot wait!
HFW only to drop it next week when Elden Ring comes out. Literally the only game I'd drop HFW for happens to come out a week later, lol. But I'll jump right back into it once I am done with Elden Ring (which will probably take some time). Still, a good problem to have.
HFW, great game so far, robots look awesome that first big fight liking the swift climbing mechanics, it looks so good and doesn't miss a beat on PS5.
Guerrilla are unbelievable, I thought they couldn't further upgrade the graphics for an open world... Horizon Forbidden West just looks tasty! It's a MUST HAVE. It's not really more of the same, a lot has changed. Sorry for all those who ordered physical and it hasn't turned up, it's stuff like that that made me switch to digital since 2017.
Danganronpa v3, up to second Class Trial.
Monster Hunter Rise (PC) I'm finally in end game and have my HR unlocked, just beat the final "Main" boss, now its time to grind missions till I can take on Crimson Glow Valstrax.
Finally, a bit of a random one here, Red Faction Armageddon, I know this isn't supposed to be a very good game but I'm having fun, basically everything in the environment is destructible which is really cool. Only downside from this compared to Red Faction Guerilla is that this one seems to be linear and not open world, and you are mainly underground so it can feel claustrophobic, but I haven't played much yet so maybe it opens up.
HFW filled weekend ahead
Horizon and going for platinum on cyberpunk. The climbing is bloody annoying most of time but I have to give credit to guerilla for ttying to change the formula. climbing had always been linear now it's creative but still annoying. Game is a masterpiece and a must have.
@CthulhuFhtagn Let's go! I beat the main game not to long ago, but still have to get around playing the DLCs, though. Hope you Enjoy your journey Ashen one.
I was planning on playing Horizon forbidden west but amazon.ca decided that my pre-order won’t ship till March 4 so I’ll be playing far cry 6.
Plodding through Bastion (PS4) and Hades (PS5) and hopefully make some more progress on Remnant from the ashes if I can catch up with online co-op pal... Waiting for some new inspiration.
Have a good weekend and happy gaming all.
Well, it's taken me exactly 190 hours but I've finally finished my AC Odyssey adventures with Kassandra. Main game and all DLC is 100% done and dusted. After all that I'm still in the mood for more AC so I think I'll hit up some Syndicate and make a start on the Jack the Ripper DLC. Have a good weekend all!
Yep still valhalla for me..just finished the asgard/scrotumheim story arc (100% ymir stones and mysteries) and if i never see either realms again it will be too soon..
Well I would be playing HFW but it wasn't delivered yesterday and suspect it wont be today either. 😟
Just as well then that I bought Cyberpunk after playing the demo and have Planet Coaster as well.
In the CP demo I started as a street kid but then started s proper playthrough as a corpo. Turns out that it's not that different lol, so far anyway but I think it's a pretty good game, just need to temper one's expectations. It didn't look great through either mode but turned off motion blur in Performance mode and I'm happier with it.
Planet Coaster is a good chill out game. Have been tackling all the career challenges, some are quite difficult really. I can see myself dipping in and out of this game for a good few months to come.
Enjoy Forbidden West folks and anything else you're playing.
HWD, same as everyone... gonna make as little main story and as much side stuff done as possible
@TheArt It really does look good and full of colour, I had a quick look at the 30fps mode to see the graphic boost but it is 60 fps all day for me and it still looks head and shoulders above most games!
Batman Telltale Season 1 on xbox1
Borderlands 3 on ps4
Metroid Dread on switch
Horizon Forbidden West. Some Dying Light 2 co-op. And maybe Pokémon Arceus...
A tale of two redheads for me. One can figure out an enemy's weakness with her device before dismantling them to pieces, and the other is Aloy.
This weekend is going to be very Horizon heavy. Loving it so far 😀
Horizon Forbidden West. Really looking great thus far!
I’m balls deep in Cyberpunk at the moment and loving it. Hada. Few glitches here and there and some stupid pop in but I’m really enjoying the story and the characters. Gonna keep pushing to get it finished before I pick up HFW next week
@Shigurui does syndicate work on PS5? I wouldn’t mind playing through that again and the DLC but I’ve heard Sydicate and Unity don’t play that great on the newer consoles?
Yes, you do (need to ask). I'm enjoying the hell out of Mafia Definitive Edition and Cyberpunk 2077 (I caved and started my 3rd playthrough on PS5). CP2077 is like a completely different game. It looks great and plays great.
Also, Mafia DE has arguably the best gunplay in TPP games and the animation of people being shot, falling after being shot. Did I mention great plot? Yeah, loving it.
Im playing Sekiro and really struggled on Lady Butterfly but found Genichiro easier, what a game on Ps5 with the 60 fps. Cyberpunk clearing the Gigs on the map, half decent game now on Ps5. Dying Light 2. Considering getting Horizon and also getting into Cuphead after watching the Netflix series
@Dezzy70 Halo infinity, infernax and deedlit in wonder labyrinth is a new games, also there's total war: warhammer 3, although it's on pc 😃
Horizon fw all weekend. Stunning game!
I’m still working on the Sifu platinum and some trophies there. Then it’s of course HFW until Elden Ring next weekend. What a tough time to be a gamer hahaha.
Continuing my Dying Light 2 journey on Series X and over on PS5 I’m replaying Cyberpunk 2077.
By next week I should have time to sprint through HFW. I’ll be focusing on the story missions. Hopefully you don’t need to do too much of the filler content to proceed with the story.
There's only one game to play this weekend! Horizon forbidden West of course.
Though I may jump into some fire emblem three houses for my second play through
@wiiware
Halo Infinite AAA campaign no way not over all and that was last year 2021.
PS5 - Horizon: Forbidden West
Xbox Series X - The King of Fighters XV
@Boucho11 - Couldn't say mate. I haven't got a PS5 yet, I'm playing Syndicate on PS4 Pro. I have played Unity on Series X and that runs great at 60fps on there but I don't think it got patched for PS5 as it was part of the Xbox fps boost lineup.
Yep HFW for me. Only a few hours in but loving it so far. Saw the Digital Foundry guys were recommending playing it on 30fps graphic mode, gave this a try but lasted 5 minutes with it. Just too sluggish felt like I was stuck in last gen. Switched to 60fps and what a difference there's no going back for me. Graphics are still absolutely incredible.
Horizon and cyberpunk
Just played the cyberpunk 5 hour trail and really enjoyed it so think I'm gonna cough up the £20 for the full thing. Should keep me quiet to elden ring Friday!
Uncharted Lost Legacy definitely my favourite after U1&2. I recon it’s the closest one to capturing the feel of U2 out of them all. It even has a train level 😁
U4 deals with some heavy themes so it was refreshing to play Lost Legacy straight after. It’s just so much lighter.
Im close to unlocking the platinum now and then I’ll be starting Horizon Forbidden West later 😁😁😁
Few hours into HFW and so far I'm loving it. They have some serious wizards at guerrilla games, beautiful immersive game!
Then next Friday Elden Ring and then GT7 the Friday after! Not enough hours in the day!
I’m playing Pokémon and Icewind Dale on Switch
@Dezzy70 I just subs to gamepass again this january, so it's only one month delay. I got gamepass for cheap (sharing the primary/home account with others), so the subs is definitely worth it for me.
@Voltan thought you'd be all over King of Fighters XV ?
Holding off on Horizon: Forbidden West until my wife's back tomorrow. In the meantime I'm be playing more Disco Elysium, trying to finish off the platinum.
@gollumb82 glad to hear someone enjoying Mafia: Definitive Edition - the original is one of my all-time favourites, and the remake is a competent update (the story tweaks are great, the graphical updates are good too, but I found the controls a little mushy compared to how precise they are in the original (on PC), and there are some missing gameplay mechanics which make things ever so slightly shallower). It's a great game, and if I hadn't played the original it would have blown my mind!
Divinity original sin enhanced edition. This game is so fun.one of my favorite games ever. Fun rpg.its funny sometimes also.manhunt rockstar controversial masterpiece.love this game. Graphics still looks good.gameplay is really bloody.this game is definitely original.cool story also.can we have a manhunt 3. Nioh 2 with all the dlcs.easily one of my top 10 games ever.extremely fun and hard gameplay.i love challenging games.nice graphics on my ps4 pro.love the yokai abilities.and shadow warrior 3.one of my favorite fps ever.lo wang is one of the funniest protagonist ever.gameplay is wonderful.story is pretty good also.good graphics.on my ps4 pro.watching Michigan basketball.watching whats happening.good times.sanford and sons. And saved by the bell.and the instant classic movie dont breathe 2.the first dont breathe was excellent.word up son
@KingPev Actually KOF XV doesn’t really seem like the game for me, based on my beta impressions. Still playing a lot of GG though
Currently waiting for HFW to finish downloading, so I'm finishing off Dirt 5 for the two last trophies and then starting Lost in Random to clear some backlog.
@theheadofabroom
I actually tried the original Mafia on PC via GOG but bounced off of it due to frustrating driving physics and controls (at least to me). It's so refreshing to play a linear, plot-heavy game with so many empty, fetchquest-riddled open world snoozefests coming out these days. How's Disco Elysium? It's been on my radar for some time now.
Super Mario 3D world on Switch
Yay, it's been delivered. Thank ***** for that!
Well, that's a relief. Watching football at present but will download HFW so it's ready to go after the match. I'm going West!
😉
@gollumb82 heh, I guess maybe the original controls might have been too precise for some tastes.
Disco Elysium is weird. I'm not sure how best to describe it. There's aspects of it that remind me more of older Lucasarts point and click adventures, there's a fairly clear system of stat-based difficulty dice rolls. The story is nuts, and there's a lot of freedom to play it your way, even though the details of the case are the same in every playthrough and you'll always hit some of the same exact story beats.
@theheadofabroom
Hahaha. Seems about right from what I've read about it. That pic made me chuckle. Oh and you reminded me of the golden age of Lucasarts point and click adventure games. Those were the days 😉
Starting Horizon Forbidden West today. I didn't have a whole lot of time to play it yesterday, so I decided to wait until today when I could really dig into it for several hours rather than just a little bit. I've been looking forward to this ever since the first teaser trailer before the PS5 came out.
Then after that, more Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West Pokèmon Legends Arceus New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe and probably some Forza Horizon 4 if I'm in the mood for it.
Yesterday I played Horizon Forbidden West since 14h00 until 1h30 and only left the first area of the map right at the end! I don't understand how some people are still complaining about side quests. In the first area alone they are so cool and varied. And after the map opens up it's so overwhelming...so many places to go!
Game is gorgeous. I love it!!!!
Maybe I'll play a bit of Sifu and Dying Light 2 too
I've been learning how to play Machine Strike. Between exploring every nook and cranny, hunting down machines and Machine strike HFW will last for a good while and I'm going to savour every moment. Played for over 5 hours and I'm just doing side quests and exploring the first area after the opening credits.
Have a great weekend everyone!
HFW of course. But also I wanna keep going with my cyberpunk playthrough. I also picked up Chorus last weekend and I don't want to completely set that game aside to be lost to my backlog. At least it's a 3 day weekend for us Yanks.
@buckp25 fingers crossed for you mate. I've felt like I've been late to a party because my Uber was stuck in traffic!
@wiiware
I'm with you about Gears 1. Even though I like the sequels too I think Gears 1 will always be my favorite. People take it for granted now but it was revolutionary for its time with the cover mechanics!
As for what I'm playing this weekend I thought I'd be playing Horizon but I surprisingly can't stop Cyberpunk right now! It's really insane how much better it's gotten on PS5. I have Horizon installed for when I'm ready for it though. Then Elden Ring next week...I'm set for a few months!
Does anyone else have to copy 96.35GB from the PlayStation 5 disk? Think this is absurd for a physical copy
Just started Hades a couple of days ago, cannot put the thing down. Not been this addicted to a game in a long time.
@Korgon Yeah I think I'll juggle between Horizon and Cyberpunk for a while, at least until HFW really digs it's claws into me as it's wont to do.
😉
I'm not interested in Elden Ring (for now anyway) so at least I don't have that problem lol BUT GT 7 is coming soon and I'm definitely going to buy that as well.
Nice problems to have plus the existing games in my backlog like Guardians of the Galaxy, Judgement and Demon's Souls (someone bought it for me as a gift, not sure why!). I'm set for nearly all of 2022 with that 'little' lot!
I'm optimistic that God of War Ragnarok will be released this year and I'm really keen on Stray so I'm sure I'll end up adding to my growing library of games.
Forbidden West…as soon as my pre order finally arrives 🤣
@UltimateOtaku91 Those of us who bought digitally had to download the whole 98GB off the internet - definitely makes me reconsider whether I'll go physical for GoW Ragnarok because that took hours. Disc would have been so much faster (assuming you bought the PS5 version, rather than using the PS4 version to get the free upgrade)
I'll be playing HFW the whole day, then I'm gonna eat some junk food and drink a lot of beer.. And once I'm starting to feel a bit tipsy imma play MHW Iceborne, and then drink some more! 😂😂🤣🤣🍺🍺🍻🍻
@theheadofabroom yeah I bought the ps5 version in the end but still taking an hour to copy from the disk, what happend to the days where the console would just read the data off the disk when being played but these days the disk is just used as a key to play the game
Horizon Forbidden West is installing on the PS4, becuase my eldest has declared he wants to play it upstairs as it's warmer up there!
I'll probably start it on PS5 tonight
It's probably my final weekend on PS4, as my 5 will come this week, so I will keep advancing in AC Revelations, Hades, getting ready to play Cyberpunk on PS5, and I will buy Horizon FW next month.
1. Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME USA PS2
2. Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME 2 PS2
⬅️⬇️⬆️➡️
@theheadofabroom Ouch, hours for just 100gb? That can’t be right. No options to upgrade your internet speed? I haven’t started HFW yet but downloaded it yesterday, I reckon it took me somewhere around 20 minutes to download.
@Fragile lol, I will! Wish you a great weekend too👍
@Chinese_Stu One of the best games of the last generation!! Played a lot yesterday, I already did 75 escape atempts, and the game keeps giving!! Still haven't seen the epilogue!
I am playing Horizon, which is great so far. Thank you Guerrilla Games!
I took Friday off to play, something I had not done since Arkham City released in 2015. I was so excited-booted it up-played 10 minutes-and then my wife told me that she and our youngest son tested positive for COVID. So, I didn’t get far, and it was a tough day. But I managed to play some last night in between bringing soup and juice to people, and the family is recovering very well-everyone has as many shots as they are eligible for, and symptoms are pretty mild-everyone is going to be fine, just feeling lousy.
So I don’t know how much more I will actually play this weekend, but can’t wait to get back to it. Game looks amazing and feels great to play. Looks like another home run.
I'm on the final stretch of Death Stranding DC. Not entirely sure I'll finish it this weekend but once it's finished I plan on starting Forbidden West.
Horizon all weekendfor me, after a slow start starting to enjoy it now, fhe first few hrs it didnt click with me but today something clicked, its weird because i loved the first one and ghis is more of the same with better gear and graphics.
Cyberpunk 2077, going on holiday so HFW will have to wait until I get back. I don't want to be spending the whole trip thinking about it after playing the opening few hours!
1. Horizon Forbidden West
Wow, just wow.. Now This is the type of games that keeps me gaming.
Will be playing Horizon Forbidden West, finally got through Dying Light 2-which I found was ok,but imo the 1st game was far better. Onto Forbidden West
I want to play forbidden west but I’m so close to my Detroit platinum
Playing Horizon, watching my son play Horizon, going to the match with him and then coming back to play more Horizon. Proper Dad & Lad Day.
Jumping between a couple of Mega Ten games, Strikers on PS4 and SMTV on Switch. Next weekend it's all Elden Ring.
@UltimateOtaku91 That and a source for the install data. It took many hours to download off the internet as the servers were quite busy.
Uhm… Forbidden West? Lol
@UltimateOtaku91
The Blu-Ray drive is slow as molasses.
The SSD can read data at around 5.5 gigs per second.
The Blu Ray drive is hovering around 125 megabytes per second.
The opening load time would be nearly 5 to 10 minutes long if it read off the disc.
@Roqka
I would kill all the Tusken Raider families Anakin style for internet that fast.
I bought the disc version to specifically avoid that. It took about 40 minutes to install from the disc and apply the day one patch.
Downloading the game would have taken about 5 hours.
Well there was a secondary reason behind it too. I wanted the steelbook edition with a disc.
@Roqka I usually get 72 Mbps down, which should be about 9 MB/s, 540MB/min, or 31.6GB/h? It seemed a lot slower so I'm guessing either server problems, or a higher contention rate than usual with all the storms (people staying in and streaming)
@UltimateOtaku91
My final install size is about 87 gigs. 85 from the disc and a 2 gig patch.
I wonder why people are getting different results.
I’m waiting for my copy of King of Fighters 15 to arrive. I’m ready to get down on that.
Been playing Horizon Forbidden West, why have they totally nerfed melee combat? they have basically turned it into a shooter, I'm so disappointed with the game. Probably jump back into AC Valhalla.
It’s all about Horizon Forbidden West. So far, I have a few gripes - the main one is the climbing mechanics - but other than that, the game is exceptional, and dare I say, superior to the first game.
DL2….waaading thru the zombies…yupyup……might cut down on the sidequests.
I've earned the platinum trophy in Cyberpunk once, and I'll do it again on PS5. Despite all its flaws, this really is one of my favourite games of all time! I started Horizon first though, I don't have 100 hours to sink into one game at the moment. Great first two hours; can't wait to see the rest!
Lol. They should change this week's WAYP to 'everybody could you please just type Horizon Forbidden West here, thank you'.
Horizon Forbidden West..an absolute masterpiece and I've only played 2 hours of it so far!
The original game was my Game Of The Year and this will be too for sure.
I'll also be playing Battle Chasers: Nightwar.Started playing a few days ago and can't get over how awesome this game is!
I may give Far Cry 6 and Dying Light 2 a go too.
@theheadofabroom Ah, I see. Yeah, that makes sense. I can’t really max my speeds, I think PSN servers bottleneck really fast connections somewhat. But it’s fast enough for me, so I’m not complaining.
@TheRedComet You’re funny! I’m on a 1000/1000 Mbps+ connection which actually is quite common around here, nor is it very expensive. I pay $50 a month.
@Roqka
I live in the rural United States. I have fixed wireless so it uses LTE over the air. Basically imagine a cell phone antenna but it’s the size of a Xbox Series X attached to a pole behind my place. So I get the best signal possible.
It’s the best option I can get where I live. But it’s really sensitive to network traffic. So during the daytime hours it’s pulling down about 15 mbs because all the Netflix junkies are streaming off of their phones. They prioritize cell phone users over fixed wireless users. But late at night, when the streaming junkies are asleep, it’s surprisingly quick for what it is and for how far in the rural south I live. Upwards of 60 mbps.
Basically ATT gives all the bandwidth to cell phones during daylight hours but at night they give us the bandwidth. Also the latency is surprisingly low for gaming, even at peak bandwidth usage. The only online multiplayer games I can’t really play are fighting games without rollback. Otherwise, my pings are shockingly low in games like Fortnite or Call of Duty.
But the biggest catch, and the reason I buy all single player games on disc, is that I’m capped to 350 gigs per month. Fortunately I have a secondary LTE service with a hotspot that can stream at 720p with unlimited data to take care of my TV needs.
So the fixed wireless is dedicated to my PlayStation 5, Switch, and my phone and laptop. I use the slower service with unlimited data for streaming tv.
That’s the issue with rural living and the internet. You’re restricted to what is available and you have get creative and spend extra money to take care of all your network needs. I pay 50 bucks a month for the fixed wireless and another 40 bucks per month for that little hotspot.
@TheRedComet That’s not too bad. You got a pretty good setup there given the circumstances. I’ve heard about that kind of connection here, too. People living in the middle of nowhere (deep within the vast forests here in Sweden) make use of it.
I reside in a smaller town, so fiber broadband is the norm, and is always unmetered luckily.
@Korgon I'm really interested in cyberpunk too now it's been fixed, I want to try it now but there's so much backlog on my ps5, I think I'll try it in the next discount
Horizon Forbidden West all the way for me. Too bad I won't be able to finish it 'till next weekend... so I'll have to switch between it and Elden Ring for a while after that.
Not that I'm complaining, 'been waiting for those 2 games for a loooong time ^_^
Given I just got a PS5 on Friday, a little of everything! Horizon has been fun, and then trying out the free PS5 upgrades for some of my PS4 titles has been interesting, and just seeing what's what all around! (You really need a way to sort comments by newest first by the way the way it's set up isn't really useful for anyone commenting or seeing the article later)
@Roqka The best I could get is 300Mbps, but I'd have to switch provider, and I wouldn't have use of that extra speed more than a handful of times per year, so it's not worth going from £24 pcm to about double that 🤷
(All unmetered, I would never pay for a metered broadband connection, otherwise I'd be better off upping my phone contact and tethering 5G)
HFW!! It’s that I have to eat and sleep otherwise I would be on it 24/7!
You guessed it, I'm on a Journey to the Forbidden West. I'm on Base PS4 and the game STILL is gorgeous! Guerrilla Games have really worked some magic.
Taking my sweet, sweet time doing every single side quest and exploring every nook and cranny of Horizon Forbidden West while my wife ships Aloy and Varl. I cannot put the controller down. More like Horizon Forbidden Rest, amirite?
Horizon Zero Dawn. I need to play this first. I've also started Dying Light 1, although swapping games is creating issues as Aloy doesn't parkour.
Like many, if not most, on here, Horizon Forbidden West and I’m absolutely loving it. They took all of the best things about the first one, tweaked all the weakest parts of it and added enough to make the game feel familiar but fresh.
@lacerz she does a little, maybe not to the extent of Dying light but she's pretty light on her feet and from what I've played so far her movement has been improved upon in Forbidden West!
Zoo Tycoon Friends (Windows Store) - There doesn't seem to be a workaround for this like there was on the phone, rendering this unplayable now...
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Dailies and Challenge packs again.
Ridiculous Marathon (Windows Phone) - Playing here and there.
Started a NG+ of Zestiria last night. It's my first Tales Of game, so I likely hold it higher regard than most. I really enjoy the way the writers and VA's portrayed the relationship between Sorey and Mikleo (Meebo, HAH!), and kind of love how they both geek out at finding some new discovery or ruin.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach with my kid nephew. The game is fun and looks great.
HFW, just absolutely loving it so far. What a triumph.
Also mixing in some ME1, thanks EA Pass
Farming Simulator on hold at the moment, probably got withered crops everywhere lol
Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Don't make fun of me, I'm very sensitive.
Beat Infernax over the week, which was fantastic. This weekend is all about Horizon Forbidden West though… if I can find any time for gaming. I’m currently a whopping 30… minutes… into the game. I expect the game to mostly carry my gaming time into March, but I also thought Arceus might occupy me til HFW’s release. When the addiction is strong, however…
I’ve also put a little bit of time to try the completely inconvenient Nintendo Switch Sports beta with the family. And made the irrational decision to purchase the second Voice of Cards game, which will be put on the back burner for some time. Really curious what my gaming will look like in March and April.
Horizon forbidden west, waiting for elden ring.
HFW, Control UE, and original Dying Light. All on PS5 btw. HFW in performance mode is something to behold!
Nothing yet, I'm conflicted between finishing Ghost of Tsushima, starting Horizon: Forbidden West, or doing a fresh replay of Zero Dawn.
Horizon turned up yesterday lunch time, so I've been able to play about an hour so far. The game controls feel nice and familiar and the graphics are very impressive. Keep switching between the performance and resolution modes as there's no clear winner. I will most likely stick to performance mode though as ultimately frame rate is more important for me. Excited to continue playing today.
I will no doubt also play more KOF XV. Still at the stage of relearning the mechanics and picking up a few characters to play.
Uncharted Lost Legacy, it is so much better than 4, which, despite the normally winning inclusion of a pirate story, is ruined by the domestic drama. I did finish 4 again though, to get full value for my tenner.
@Roqka Always the option to upgrade your Internet speed, don't come for free though does it? I don't know many folk who can download 100gb in twenty minutes either...
@Westernwolf4 Sorry to hear about the Covid but glad everyone's coping well. The best laid plans, eh?
I 've completed Iki Island and Uncharted 4 on the PS5.
Looking forward to Sucker Punch's next game. Ghosts has become one of my fav games ever.
I preordered Forbidden West but only got an hour in as the disc arrived Sunday afternoon.
A lot of time spent on Disco Elysium on PC. Really good game so far.
Playing Horizon Forbidden West ~ it looks stunning! The amount of stuff on screen kinda gives me an headache though 😰
@thebizniznizbiz Of course not, you’re right. I’ve had my 1000Mpbs connection (granted I pay $50/month, so not super cheap) for the last five or six years. Guess I have become spoilt and reading that it takes hours to download 100gb felt unreal in my world.
Hi there fellow gamers.
What am I playing this weekend you ask?
I´ve been playing this small and unknown sequel of a game, that no one knows about called Horizon Forbidden West 😜
I´m having an absolute blast playing this and can already tell, that I´m not going to sleep that much these next few days.
Why so many good games have to come out, practically at the same time? Oh well, I kinda have trouble sleeping anyway.......
Cheers, stay safe everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
Several hours into Horizon Forbidden West, lot of fun and looks great! Especially impressed with the character animation, it often looks like watching an actual movie.
Tried resolution mode and even though motion blur does mask some of the sluggishness, 60 fps is my default now in the game.
If you do settle on 60fps I suggest turning OFF motion blurring, there is no need for it at 60fps and it looks even smoother.
Tales of Arise.. 20 hours in and I'm having amazing time!!
HFW ofscourse
For sure Horizon Forbidden West
@Feena if you are referring to the HUD or in game markers you can go into graphics options to remove them if you didn't already know
Getting through what I can in my Xbox: series X and Switch back catalogue. For PS5 looks I’m gonna be going with more specific triumvirate of Cyberpunk, Horizion FW and Elden Ring once the latter emerges from the hype cocoon, with whatever else on the side.
Completely surprised myself. I bought Cyberpunk early in the week for like 20 bucks on PS5. I haven't even installed / upgraded my HFW yet... Really enjoying Cyberpunk. Pleasantly surprised.
@nofriendo Thanks a lot I appreciate the kindness. Everyone is recovering well. This was the worst result for one of my plans in a while! 😂
Playing Steins Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram and Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty.
@Plankton-Warrior @GoodGame oh no! Where did you guys order from? Hopefully they arrive soon
@themightyant Got mine now and playing through it. Awesome game
@themightyant game collection
@frankmcma yeah I turned off motion blur with 60fps, looks amazing, really enjoying the game, I'll try my hardest to finish horizon before I touch elden ring
