Finally we have a partial list of PS Plus games for next month's launch, and we know that PS1 classic Syphon Filter will have a Platinum Trophy. Happy days!

I've put Elden Ring on ice for the time being, so I'm catching up on a few other bits and bobs. I've been chilling with OlliOlli World recently (although it gets crazy tough at the end!) and really enjoyed a breezy playthrough of Unpacking. This weekend is all business, however, as I take a look at A Monster's Expedition and Kao the Kangaroo for review. Expect both to hit the site pretty soon.
Liam Croft, Assistant Editor
I've fallen off Hollow Knight so I've returned to my Final Fantasy XIII playthrough. I've lost track of where I was and what was going on, though, so I've started the game over again. There's also indie game Silt for me to review this weekend.

With a mate coming over for the weekend, I'm thinking of busting out some classic co-op titles like Nidhogg, Towerfall Ascension, and some Gang Beasts. Those will surely lead to an assortment of screams, fits of hilarity, and white-knuckle championship winnings.
Review season is slowly restarting, so the backlogs may be about to go on the backburner. With the release schedule light this past week, though, we're going to assume you're plunging the archives. What are you playing this weekend?

After 85 incredible hours with the game, I finally popped the platinum trophy in Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut earlier this week. I’m really no trophy hunter, but I enjoyed Jin’s journey so much that I wanted to do everything there is to do in the game.
I also beat the the main story in Horizon Forbidden West only yesterday, so I may mop up some outstanding side quests and errands over the weekend. Though I definitely don’t love it quite enough to go for the platinum on this one. It’s a top PS5 title for sure, but it didn’t sink it’s teeth into me in the same way that Ghost did.
Other than that, I’ve still got a few cafe menu’s left to finish off in Gran Turismo 7 and I plan to finally start Elden Ring this weekend. Wish me luck! I’m certainly gonna need it.
Saturday already? Feels like I missed a day in there somewhere. I'm playing "The Punisher" on PS2 with the God Mode cheat enabled. It's still awesome.
I finished Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster yesterday and got the true demon ending.
So what will I play this weekend? No idea honestly 😅
I'll probably go through a few things til I find something that sticks... I am tempted in revisiting Persona 3 FES after so many years but don't wanna burn out playing two long turn based JRPG's in a row.
Have a good weekend everyone!
I picked up Toejam and Earl and RE3 in the sale so the plan is to finish up RE2 and start on 3, and will be playing some TJ&E online with my old man for a wee bit of nostalgia.
The kid has just picked up a PSP so no doubt there will be some time spent on that as well
On the switch I will continue with fire emblem three houses with the golden deer House, want to try and complete it before the new warriors game come out.
On playstation 5 I will be continuing with trails of cold steel and so far I don't see the fuss about this game, maybe it's the outdated feel and graphics but I will stick it out. I should also complete the voice of cards forsaken maiden
And I will continue with Elden Ring at some point, try and do some grinding and look for some better armor.
Just about to finish off the ratchet and clank future trilogy with nexus just grinding out challenge mode for platinum
i got a hdmi converter for my wii so i plan to play the three classic smash games on it this weekend with brawl being my favorite . i could throw a dope smash kickback too . i have all the worthwhile ones , i’m only missing smash wii u , but ultimates the replacement .
Having just got my platinum for Ghostwire Tokyo I am now cracking o wit Sifu, brilliant game, tough but fair. Don't think I will be getting the platinum in this one as finishing the game under 25 years old is looking tough!
Obviously some more GT7 along the way!
Have a great weekend everyone!
what remains of ethan carter and the vanishing of edith finch. I wish walking in real life was so whimsical...
More Slay the Spire - struggling to get the hang of the Watcher - made it to the Act 3 boss many times, but can't seem to beat them without sacrificing the keys I need to ascend
I’ll be finishing up Danganronpa 2 and probably some GT7 with a podcast on in the background tomorrow.
I was also planning to play Cotton fantasy. But my pre-order hasn’t turned up and has been converted into a back order. I don’t feel like paying the digital premium.
I am also playing OlliOlli World at the moment. It is very difficult towards the end. I’m aiming to platinum it and using some video guides as reference for the Radysus challenges. I’m not quite sure if it’s as difficult as OlliOlli 2 but it is very tough.
Music is pretty poor in the game so I just turn it off and listen to a range of synthwave artists on Spotify!
I’ll be continuing South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I loved The Stick of Truth, but was always put off by the grid based combat in its sequel. Well, it turns out that I’m actually quite enjoying the combat and I wish I played the game sooner!
Im playing Kaito Files and Sifu both are excellent on Ps5. On Series X I just finished Tunic so now Im coming back to Death's Door. Also my Switch backlog of Pokemon Arceus, Eastward and Shin Megami Tensei V. Last but certainly not least Muramasa Genroku Legends on PS Vita
The new DLC for King of Fighters 15 dropped this week. Trying to main Geese Howard and practicing some combos with the recent patch. Still on WWE 2K22 as well.
Elden Ring.
210 hours in, still on my first run.
Can't stop exploring 🤷♂️
I'm near the end now though.
@theheadofabroom Watcher was by far the hardest to ascend with. Having several Pressure Points cards on her is very OP, but the problem is of course finding many of them in one run.
Cyberpunk 2077 and GT 7 are the two games I'll be playing for the foreseeable future. Love them both!
Not much else to say, other than have a good one folks and COYS!
😄
@LiamCroft “I've returned to my Final Fantasy XIII playthrough. I've lost track of where I was and what was going on, though, so I've started the game over again.”
Hope was talking a lot of cr@p and you were running down a corridor
Honestly, I haven’t really played anything since completing Elden Ring. I’m having a hard time finding a game that fills the spot that it had, so it’s been about a week since I’ve had any significant gaming. Perhaps I will finally return to Triangle Strategy since I put that game on hold when I got deep in Elden Ring?
Still just chugging along with Trails in the Sky 3 and playing a little Halo Infinite on the side as well. I know people have issues with Infinite but I honestly can't get enough of it!
@kyleforrester87
And the afro guy is talking to his baby chocobo pet that lives in his hair. Don't forget him!
@Korgon how could I forget the games only redeeming quality 😂
@Korgon @kyleforrester87 About right, yeah haha!
Death Stranding Director's Cut. Absolutely loved this the first time around, I'm only a few chapters in so haven't got to the new content yet, still a bit salty that the PS4 didn't get it but the upgrade was only £5 so I'll let it slide I guess.
Over on XSX I'll be finishing up Quantum Break, I'm about halfway through and really enjoying it. I had no idea that Courtney Hope (Control's Jesse) was in it, very cool finding references to that game in this one even though they're years apart.
Have a good weekend all!
Elden Ring still, you know the drill. Simply the most shocking open world I've played in a long time, discovery never stops it's insane! 254hrs going. FromSoftware outdone themselves.
@liamcroft always been curious about returning to FFXIII, as I stalled shortly into the second one, but thanks @kyleforrester87, you just unearthed the memory I'd spent a decade successfully repressing
Got the platinum for Ghostwire Tokyo. I can’t believe how overlooked this game is - it’s brilliant. One of the best (and most memorable) open-world games I’ve played in ages.
Just running around the abandoned streets of Shibuya (and gliding across rooftops) collecting spirits was a lot of fun. It reminded me a little of games like Prototype and the first inFamous game.
It’s not horror exactly but can be quite intense in places. The interior areas (abandoned Hospital) in particular were really unsettling. The smaller residences seemed like they were modelled on the house from The Grudge movie 🫣 I also loved the way your immediate surroundings turned brown and corrupted when the scissor-wielding, Dimitrescu-like enemies randomly appeared and began stalking the streets - this was really effective (and very Silent Hill). Just seeing piles of clothes everywhere on the ground (where the people had vanished) was creepy in itself.
They could have really dialled up the horror element of this game and it would have been absolutely terrifying - but not everyone likes that kind of intense horror so I understand why they toned it down and made it more accessible for everyone.
The story is kinda bonkers and I could see the Death Stranding influences throughout. It seems like a game that draws inspiration from numerous sources but it all comes together in a way that works.
It’s also worth noting that I didn’t have a single bug/glitch/game crash once in the 35 hours it took me to platinum the game, which is a rarity for games these days. Can’t recommend the game enough.
Now onto Demons Souls 😩 I’ve been avoiding this game for a while because the difficulty/frustration is really off-putting. Wish me luck!
Playing yakuza 5 ps4 at the moment on my ps5 which I’m about halfway through with.
Also bought tiny tina’s wonderlands at a sale for ps5 for €25 which I’ll be playing after. It’s actually my first ps5 game I bought myself new/not used since my launch pre orders, all my other pickups where either used or gifts.
Besides that I am still playing fire emblem fates birthright on my 3ds, animal crossing new horizons on my switch and forza horizon 5 on my XSX.
Also @liamcroft how are you enjoying FFXIII? I personally thought it was bad, especially not close to how people described it. Later on it really picks up the pace IMO.
I should be playing tales of arise, which I started last weekend, but I can’t stop playing slay the spire…
Mad max and tomb raider definitive edition.watching the 🏀 nba playoffs. Its been fun.watching the horror movie instant classic candyman 🍬. The 1992 candyman 🍬 was legendary. Farting around in American fugitive and coming in 6th in GT7
@theheadofabroom such a good game. I only got to act 4 once and it was brutal. I had the wrong set for sure and not much health at the boss. I think my character choice wasn't good. I went all block and poison. It got me there, but not boss worthy. Good luck
@darkswabber I'm only like four hours in so far, but it is just as linear as everyone says it is right now. I am enjoying it though!
I really want to push through and finish it so I can play 13-2 and Lightning Returns, I have no idea what they're really like.
The Great Wobo Escape (Windows Phone) - Just starting.
Dragon Mania Legends (Windows Phone) - Going back to finish this off.
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - Got all the high scores I can now, I think I'm done now.
@playstation1995 I tried watching the Candyman remake recently and it was awful. Love the original movie though - scared me to death when I was a kid 🫣
@LiamCroft XIII-2 and lightning returns are definitely worth it to get to. Whereas most FF fans hate 13 most fans (that played it) love 13-2. Lightning returns has fans more divided usually due to a gameplay gimmick you’ll see when you get there.
Hope you end up enjoying the trilogy!
Dragon Quest XI S: I'm replaying this game for the first time as I played the original version and only played up to the "Main" ending so I have a lot of reasons to play this again with the new added content to this version. Already put 17 hours into the game and am up to the Gondola part and I laugh as I say "This is one of my favourite parts" literally every time I get to a new section of the game! I just love the cosy atmosphere that Dragon Quest games have that no other JRPG compares to IMO, I just love talking to all the characters in each town, raiding people's houses through their drawers, taking their books and smashing their pots. The game is just a relaxing experience all around, I like just standing and slow panning the camera on multiple occasions which I literally don't do in any game more than once but in DQ I can't help myself! Turn based JRPGs are my preference over real time any day (guess it's my pokemon background as a child) and the soundtrack is simply amazing, several tracks stay in my head even years after playing the game the 1st time and now I get nostalgia every time I boot up the game and hear the adventure recap music😊
Danganronpa v3: I dropped this for 2 months after finishing the second trial and have now beat the 3rd, this game goes places and mmmmmmm the ending of the 3rd trial is crazy. I've gotta say the actual murders compared to 1-2 have been more refined and always have me guessing the entire way through the trial only to subvert my expectations on "who dunnit". Can't wait to continue progressing through to the climax of this game, honestly Danganronpa trilogy has the best story out of any game period IMO, hope we get another sequel one day.
Rogue Legacy 2:If anyone reading this like roguelites, you have to get this game whether its on PC, Xbox or you wait for the playstation or switch version. This is the best action Roguelite since Hades, if you like castlevania or games focused on platforming you need this game.
Thanks for reading and have a happy weekend😁😁😁
Started Elden Ring again, I'm playing the PS4 version via backwards compatibility, going for all the trophies again. Also, will be playing Life is Strange True Colours, completed chapter 3, two more to go.
Currently mopping up some games this weekend as I need to get on top of my discarded game list. At the top of my list if HFW, which I have enjoyed but, it hasn't grabbed me as much as the first.
I played these games. 🙂
1. Epic Chef PS4
2. Overcooked All You Can Eat PS4
3. Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age Switch
Just finished my 3rd playthrough of Until Dawn. I really love the Supermassive Games horror formula so I bought their Dark Pictures Anthology and will be starting Little Hope soon.
Apart from that- got a PS3 so I can go back to stuff like Condemned 2, Motorstorm and Lair (yep, I liked that game). Thinking about buying a PS2, as well, but I'm worried about picture quality on a 4K tv. Can anyone give me some tips on that? Is it bearable, at least? Not gonna pay for Sony's new sub service, that's for sure.
On Switch: still Mario Party Superstars with wife and daughter.
On Vita: Uncharted- Golden Abyss (really loving it).
Have a great weekend guys and gals!
@Perturbator @Elodin I think I'll have to try out pressure points, so far I've been trying to combine Miracle+, Alpha/Beta/Omega, and lots of draw/scrying to loop through my deck ASAP. It works great through Act 2, but the damage doesn't scale and elites and bosses have too much health in act 3. Wrath builds seem to be too much of a glass cannon to be reliable, and mantra takes too long or too big a deck to build.
It's certainly a fun character to try and strategise around, but I might switch back to Defect to go through the Ascention levels - takes some thought and planning but you can build some ridiculously overpowered engines with that character.
@gollumb82 Look in to getting a KAICO HDMI adaptor for that PS2. I've got one for my Gamecube and it works a treat.
@LN78
Thanks! I read your post and was about to ask you directly 😉 I'll look into getting one then.
I started playing Bug Fables after finishing Sifu. I'm having a blast with it.
More of the simply sublime gt7 on ps5 and another rerun of resident evil 4 on ps2 what an absolute classic ,also some rdr2 another masterpiece happy weekend to everyone
@gollumb82 I've actually got a 60GB backwards compatible PS3 hooked up to my main screen for retro PlayStation games but the adaptor I mentioned does a pretty capable job on my Gamecube and it's a well built and sturdy device - especially for the price. I can't imagine that the PS2 equivalent would be any different.
@LN78
Congrats on getting one. I wanted to buy one too, but at our local eBay wannabe in Poland the prices of that thing are nearing the retail price of PS4 when it hit the market. Looking at the gaming world of today I simply felt like the golden days of gaming were the PS2/PS3 days and felt it's a good idea to go back in time 😉 Buying a hacked Vita for PS1 and PSP games certainly helped with that.
I keep going back to Crash Bandicoot it’s about time on PS5.
It’s so blooming hard but I love it every time I go back to it to try and improve my scores etc.
Also having a rerun of resident evil village on hardcore mode. Brilliant game and for me the best since 4.
Sadly nothing. Working all weekend.
Spider-Man: MM on ultimate difficulty. Swinging around New York, beating up bad guys is therapeutic...
Plenty more of Cyberpunk 2077 as it continues to be one of my favorite games in a while not named Horizon Forbidden West.
Still playing elden ring although i should really start playing valhalla again as i'm only about half way through that but you know..elden ring happened..also waiting to see if the rumours about the 60fps patch for origins are true.
Elden Ring has me squaring up against the notorious Malena this weekend. Finishing up cafes in GT7, but really hooked on Nobody Saves the World right now.
On the side I’m ashamed to admit I bought One Piece 3 on Switch for 5 bucks. I’ve never watched the show but wanted a Mosou for on the go. Also everyone needs to check out Dungeons of Dreadrock. Phenomenal puzzle indie.
@BritneyfR_ee I’ve heard over and over again about Ghostwire being underrated. I think though your comments just solidified that I need to play it. I’m a little nervous about the collect a thon aspect as that can burn me out (looking at you Assassins Creed).
@UltimateOtaku91 I was really hunting for better armor in Elden Ring for a long time. My suggestion is progress the game and the side quests. Armor feels like it really kicks in and becomes abundant and varied mid game. Once I did several NPC quests and got to certain areas I found a nice array.
Just bought a switch & had way more fun on this than my ps5
Got my platinum on horizon zero dawn (I know I’m 5 years late to the party) and working towards 100% of the trophies. The demonic frostclaws are hard.
I've been struggling to stick to something on PS5 lately, I've played several PS4 games like Ys VIII, Ni no Kuni and Odin Sphere but not stuck with it and I got a week off so I want to be able to get into something while I have that time free. Maybe try make some progress in Returnal or pick up the Lost Judgment Season Pass on sale.
The entire Final Fantasy XIII series is amazing, IMHO. The linearity makes the pacing really nice because you never hit a wall where you're like "Guess I'll go grind out easy enemies for hours so I can beat this boss!" Love the characters and the story, and especially the music (even played it at my wedding's reception). Screw the bandwagon hate it gets.
@UltimateOtaku91 give Cold Steel some more time! it took a bit to really get me hooked, but now i'm obsessed. cheers, here's hoping you end up loving it!
sniper elite 4 on xbox series x , cleared on ps 5 looking forward to the new game those x ray shots do not get old!
I’ve been playing Transistor. Needed something a little off the beaten path after the amazing Elden Ring…It’s pretty good! I’ll be starting Ghostwire Tokyo once I’ve wrapped it up. Happy Gaming!
I have gotten around to cleaning up my backlog, and finishing up games I had started but stopped playing for one reason or another.
On the PS5 front, I have beaten Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and Sifu - both of which are excellent games; and thank god for the difficulty options for Sifu because that is one reason I bounced off of it initially.
As for my Xbox Series X; I’m now going to try and finish the campaign in Sniper Elite 4 before 5 drops on Game Pass next week. I’m also playing Spec Ops: The Line and Enslaved Odyssey to the West - two games I never got around to during the 360-era because I was deep into Halo 2/3 multiplayer. EOttW looks absolutely gorgeous for a game that releases in 2009. It’s a shame that it has taken me this long to play these two gems because they are incredible, and even unappreciated.
@ErrantRob I won’t lie, there are A LOT of collectibles but the map isn’t ridiculously huge like most open world games these days.
The game is one of the most user-friendly games for collectibles too - each area has a Torii gate (you have to purge these first to remove the deadly fog and unlock the fast travel point). Each Torii gate then shows the percentage of spirits found in that area and also shows which collectibles (by type) have been found.
You earn XP for completing missions / side missions / defeating enemies and this gives you skill points as you level up. The skill points can be used to unlock new abilities - one of them is a grapple which allows you to zip up onto rooftops and makes exploring the city even better - even more so if you also have the gliding ability too.
You can also find and equip ‘Prayer beads’ which give you various boosts - they can be equipped/unequipped and swapped in the game menu at any time. One set of beads helps you find the spirits by sending out a ball of light that leads you straight to the nearest one.
There are loads of fast travel points and loading between fast travel jumps is a second or two at most.
You can do as much or as little collecting as you want really as the game marks collectibles on the map even after you have picked them up and you can use the map filters to turn these on/off as you wish.
It can seem overwhelming if you’re just looking for a quick platinum but I actually enjoyed exploring the city and picking up everything as I went along.
Only took me 35 hours to 100% this game as opposed to AC Valhalla’s 140+ hours (or something ridiculous 🤣).
One thing I do recommend is turning on English Audio in the main menu screen (you have to do this at the main menu - it can’t be done from the in-game menu). The default is Japanese Audio with English subtitles but I couldn’t play the game that way. I love subtitled movies but I found it really difficult to read and play at the same time. Switching to English audio completely changed the game for me.
I've just finished Elden Ring and feel in a bit of a malaise, I've got a bunch stuff in my backlog but nothing is really appealing so will probably just stay casual this weekend with a bit of FIFA
92 hours into my fourth playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077. It's honestly the best PS5 game I've played so far. Can't wait for the extra content.
Starting to bounce off of Elden Ring so mainly Genshin, Mass Effect LE is staring at me from the shelf though!
Hi there fellow gamers.
This weekend I´m continuing my jorney into the Forbidden West, doing side quests and advance a little in the main story missions. Have to improve my combat skills and get some more upgrades.
I´ll also be playing some fighting games, namely Guilty Gear Strive and especially KOFXV, since Geese and the gang are back in town.
Having a lot of fun learning optimal combos and ToDs.
And might actualy start FFXV Windows Edition, since I only played like 8-10 hours of the PS4 version way back.
Oh, and FFXIII is actualy pretty good and one of my favourites, along side FFIV, FFIV, FFVIII and FFX, believe it or not.
Cheers, stay safe everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
Tiny Tina and Trek to Yomi if I'm lucky.... stinking kids lol
@Col_McCafferty COYS indeed, my man! All we need is a point at Norwich and we’re back in the Champions League! Don’t know what makes me happier, Spurs doing so well or Arsenal completely capitulating?! Loved watching them against Newcastle on Monday. I cheered Bruno’s goal almost more than I do when Spurs score 😂
@ApostateMage Is Cyberpunk 2077 really that good on PS5? You’re kinda making me want to pick a copy up!
@ErrantRob @BritneyfR_ee You guys are really making me want to pick up Ghostwire Tokyo. I think the game looks gorgeous, but I’m a little put off by the £54.99 price of a physical copy. If (when?) I see it at half price, I’ll go for it.
Started to play HeroQuest on the Amiga which, despite the simple graphics and sound, I've found to be really atmospheric.
Still playing Slipstream about a month or so after release on PS4 and Switch. Probabaly one of my favourite checkpoint racers in years, the super scaler graphics with OutRun 2 drifing, and SEGA references... it's just a great arcade racer.
If I have more time, I still have Elden Ring and Horizen to get back to.
This weekend its horizon forbidden west.
Time to platinum it, been in the backlog for a few months now.
Dying Light DLC was finally made free. But I'm still playing Code Vein, so maybe won't play Dying Light still.
I'm close to platinum Assassin's Creed III Rem. now, so I'm devoting more time to it. I will play more of my weekend game, Horizon FW, and some Cyberpunk 2077, as I'm concluding some storylines. This game is amazing, huge, so stockfull of amazing, well written content!! Those who skipped it on PS4, give a go on the PS5 version!! It's wonderful.
Played Salt and Sacrifice Co OP with a friend last night. Looking forward to playing more. And I want to make some time to play more Forbidden West too.
Still playing and loving the heck out of Metroid Dread. I think I’m getting near the end. I’m going to be sad when that one’s over. And as always I’m still trying to escape from Hades. But that just a here and there game. On PS5 I’m still going back to and forcing myself to play Horizon FW. I’m still not sucked into it like I was the first, but it is getting better. And when I’m in the mood for some mindless shooting I’m playing through the Modern Warfare Remaster campaign. It’s just big dumb fun. Have a great weekend!
@theheadofabroom ill have to go back to Defect. I did have a great run with them when I got his shard initially. Ill try them for an act 4 run.(or most likely 30 runs).🙂
I'm planning to finish Hitman 3 in VR finally, and made a start with Super Mario 3D World, Bowser's Fury on the Switch. Fun little experience, and like Mario Odyssey in full 3D!🙃
Got my 105th platinum on ratchet and clank Nexus and watched my beloved Sunderland finally climb out of division 1 into the championship. Great day all round 🤩
I've had the week off work so I've been putting every spare hour into The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.
I'm on the final chapter now and I'm planning to get as much done as I can before Monday.
Despite the below average reviews I've been reading I bought and have been playing nothing but Eiyuden Chronicles Rising.Gotta say I'm absolutely LOVING this game!
Considering this is just a taster for the main game 100 Heroes next year this all but confirms a Day One buy for that game!
On the Switch I'll be continuing my Kirby walkthrough which I'm loving!
Enjoy your weekend all!
Dead rising 2
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk
Congrats to your boys on promotion.
On your way back to the big time!
I’m a Saints fan and we just about stayed up this year
Might see you in the championship soon! Lol
I started FFO Stranger of paradise and it's honestly a ton of fun. Feels a bit more like crisis core in some ways, but with much faster paced combat. Really enjoying it surprisingly.
Elden ring on the backburner at 177 hours, and sekiro on the horizon Kaiju Wars is my side girl
Horizon Forbidden West. It would be my GOTY if It wasn’t for Elden Ring.
@Hurblyburbly hopefully we will be at St Mary’s in a couple of years in the premiership 👍🏻
@The_Pixel_King It's brilliant mate. Night City absorbs you with how alive it feels. I'm constantly just walking the busy streets to my next job just looking up and around at the massive buildings. It's so immersive. Not to mention the fun combat, stupidly cool weapons and cars, amazing soundtrack, well written characters and writing and a sadly beautiful story.
Of course, I am known to be a Cyberpunk 2077 fanboy on this site, though.
@gollumb82 we have just got a PS2 as well
We got an HDMI adapter for it and it works well enough
@Dudditz09
Thanks for the input! Appreciate it 🙂
@ApostateMage
You're not alone. I have 3 playthroughs of CP2077 under my belt and I'm pretty sure that's not the end. It's a great game, but I'd say you have to like cyberpunk in general and/or Blade Runner to appreciate this game.
@freddquadros Happy to see you're almost done with AC3! I'm getting close to the halfway point of AC2 I think.
Still taking my time playing the story, tackling all of the side quests first as they become available.
@LiamCroft Started FFXIII for the first time, like a month ago. Great game and going to continuing on with rest of the trilogy.
It’s about time FFXIII trilogy came to this Gen. I completed the first one but would love to spend more time in the open world, post game section and I got half way through the second game before I moved on to my PS4.
Been making the most of the fine day outside. But I managed to get a few matches of Guilty Gear in!
Just platinum’ed Death Stranding: Director’s Cut so I’ll be grinding spheres in FFX.
I have not turned on my PS5 for over a month. Series X, about 6 months. Bare in mind gaming has been a huge part of my life for 40 plus years. I have more than enough back catalogue purchases to play, too many . I am actually finding two major issues with gaming currently. PS4 holding the PS5 back...and no major fresh new IPs that scream originality. Far too many sequels, cash grabs and bloody remasters/remakes.
There are some good indie titles about and I really hope VR 2 delivers because VR can be game changing.
Dug out my PS3 and started playing Hitman HD trilogy. I'm playing Hitman 2 silent assassin, it's hilarious. I was also playing Metal gear solid peace walker, another classic. I'd forgotten how absolutely brilliant the PS3 is.
@JudgeDredd
Do some 'circuit experience' if you want big credits.
As I finished TLOU 2 recently (which was fantastic) I delved into some more Metro Exodus about 17 hours in. Got a bit more to go then I'll finish the DLC with it. I have wayyy too many backlogged games Horizon Zero Dawn and AC Origins on the PS4 notably.
For Honor still drags me in from time to time too with a mate.
I honestly just rotate to random games but so it takes me ages to beat anything lol.
@Jimmer-jammer Transistor's OST has been living in my brain for years, such a good game.
Nearly finished my 100% Mass Effect 3 Insanity run, hit level cap, it irks me a bit that there aren't enough skill points to max out everything and so I'm left with one skill with one final pip...
Probably jump on Borderlands 3 on PC afterwards as I got it for free from the Epic Store.
I saw Lightning and I was like oh well when FF13 came out on PS5?
@Mintie Yes, it’s quite good! The OST somehow manages to nail it’s electronic cyberpunk soundscape while still remaining raw and emotive.
GTA:V, Resident Evil 7, WWE2K14 & God Of War.
No love for tiny tina in here 😔
The Diablo II Resurrected D2RMM mod is still keeping me busy after about 10 days. Lots of options to play around with that keep the game interesting.
Too bad Blizzard is not capable of this level of thinking... they could have offered official tools like these to allow players to have some fun with the game even if it's just in single player. D2 is 22 years old and many players already know it inside and out. Scrounging for months to find some specific unique items or enough very high runes to do some specific runewords is no longer an option.... there is a lot of competition out there nowadays, as opposed to 22 years ago.
If you keep the drop rate low as it was (and is today too, on the ladder or non ladder servers) people are more likely to lose interest long before they even get to the good parts of the game, or to the more fun quality builds.
@LiamCroft I also decided to return to my playthrough of FF13 this weekend.
@KidBoruto There will be sidequests that you won't be able to complete until later in the game. So, don't stop too much, move the story. There is no problem, nothing is missable in AC II.
I platined AC III yesterday, wow, that one took a great effort, the game is huge!! Now I will start Liberation.
Keep it on, the series is great!! Loving it more and more with each game!!
@FatWormBlowsASparky I don't understand how Square nevrr made a remastered trilogy of FF XIII... I would buy it, never played any of them in the PS3. And Square is usually so good with remastered games!!
@freddquadros Already ran into one of those side quests, the one where you had to kill 10 guards in 1 minute. I had to wait until I unlocked smoke bombs to tackle it (poison blade also helped).
I'm now in Forlì wrapping up everything I can, before I finally board a ship with Leonardo to head to Venice.
Happy to hear you finally platinumed AC3! How many hours did you sink into that game?
Same here haha! I've even started to collect the various AC comics and manga. Not going to bother with the normal books/novels though.
@KidBoruto I took me more than 70 hours, for sure. Some optional objectives are hard, I had to check guides for a few. Gonna play Liberation, it's the next one, I konw it's shorter, and them finally Black Flag. I love pirates, love this naval combat element AC III brought and Black Flag expanded.
I just bought a AC Novel, Heresy. Gona read the comics too!!
@freddquadros HowLongtoBeat states ~50 hours to Plat, but I don't think they factor in people who keep failing certain challenges, or leaving the game running while not playing which adds to the clock.
Also love pirates! TBH I want to skip straight to AC4 Black Flag, but my OCD insists I play thru the older games first.
Here's a list of all AC Comics: https://assassinscreed.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Real_world_comics
@KidBoruto Don't skip. It will be worthy, the story is amazing, and see the series evolving in it's mechanics is very rewarding!! AC III is much better than people see, you will see how epic and good to play the game is!! I started Liberation yesterday, and it's quite interesting. I even forgot that it was a Vita game before. And it's shorter, so Black Flag is close hehe There is Rogue after it.
@freddquadros Ah don't worry I won't actually be skipping, it was just a thought I had for a few seconds lol.
It helps that you're playing the HD Remaster, it greatly improves on the OG Vita version.
Did you find my comics link helpful btw?
@KidBoruto Yes, thank you!! Let's go!!
@freddquadros Glad to hear it! You enjoy the rest of your week, I'm off to slay more Templars in Venice (AC2).
