Topic: Help! My dlc characters for MK X aren't accessible.

I was trying to play mortal kombat X on my PS5 and though all character dlc has Been purchased and installed the extra characters cannot be used. When i try to click on them it sends me to the shop to download them but fails and says content no longer available.
I purchased them years ago on the very same account. What is going on? Why can't i use characters i purchased?

Yes i have fully updated the game BTW and they are installed according to the games page on PSN.

I noticed it's still trying to charge me on PSN for the X/XL pack but as i said they were already purchased years ago. WTF?

Anyone? This is really getting infuriating. I checked all my mortal kombat X DLC and it says all the characters are installed but when i go to the main menu they aren't accessible.

None of the my dlc is available. Everything is still grayed out even though it says everything is installed. What the hell?

I could but i imagine I'll get the run around. I just can't figure out what the problem is for the life of me.

Well i figured out what the problem was. The copy of the Mortal kombat X disc i had was for Europe India and Russia only. Says so on the back of the box. I know the PS4 and PS5 are region free but apparently some DLC content still has to be bought in the same region as the disc.

I had an MK X disc before from the US but lost it and bought another on Amazon. I guess it was the wrong region version. Lesson learned i guess. 🤦‍♂️

Now i gotta check my collection of PS4 games and make sure none of the ones i might buy DLC for are the non American ones. Sheesh!

@Truegamer79 Yeah I have heard about that before, that tbe game and DLC have to be from the same region. Not just PS too, I heard of people running into that problem on the Switch too.

Yeah that was driving me crazy. I got another copy from the right region this time and everything is good now. All my dlc is working. I guess the way to tell on the box is if it has a Pegi rating instead of the usual E, M or whatever. Now i know, and knowing is half the battle 😉

@Truegamer79 Yeah it makes no sense to me either why I cant buy the game from NA region for example and then the DLC from Europe cause its cheaper. Maybe it has something to do with the coding, I dont know I am not that knowledgeable on programming.

Since I have heard of problems like that its one reason why I just stick to games from my region that way I dont have to try and remember what game is what region. I guess if you aren't planning or there is no DLC for said game you don't need to worry about that as much, but still if its region free......
