Recently I noticed that my PS4 controller is not registering 100% for the gas pedal in racing games. I connected the controller to PC to check controller readings. L2 max is 255, R2 max is about 205, which is about 80% of max. After doing more research I learned that you can open the controller and replace the rubber pad under the R2 button to fix this. Question, how do I identify which controller type in order to buy the exact correct rubber pad? The model number written on the controller back ends with CT1U, I can't see the numbers in front of those as they are worn off.
In case more info is needed, the PS4 was purchased in 11/27/2014. It is the PS4 Black Friday bundle that came with GTA V and Last of Us Remastered.
Can you still see the serial number under the barcode?
If you’re technically minded you might try opening it up and looking at the board thingy? I’m certainly not, I’d have more luck throwing it against a wall.
Good luck friend 👍

Open it and clean it with a tissue damp it with little water it should work, take pictures. Usually if you open the pad it has a number such JDM 255 or something similar.
