Hey guys, I am hoping someone here can help me with some connectivity issues I am having on my PS4.

For the most part it's ok, I can stream Netflix, use the browser play online etc except when it comes to For Honor. I cannot connect to any online groups with other people whether it's a group of us going against the A.I. or PVP I just can't connect. I can do player vs A.I. duels just fine and story mode but anything else I cant. It's not their servers cause all my friends are playing it no problem (even though they are playing it on the Xbox).

Now when I was talking to a friend of mine he said that he was having similar problems during the beta and had to fix is NAT settings cause they were on strict. Now when I play Black Ops 3 or Modern Warfare Remastered I do notice that the settings are on strict same as For Honor but I am able to play CoD no problem online whatsoever. However I decided to tinker with the NAT setting anyway to hopefully improve my connection for For Honor.

Now here lies in the problem I Googled it first off I need a PC which I don't have. Second I have no idea what it's talking about (networking noob). So I was wondering is it something I can call my ISP about and have them fix it? I don't want to have to pay them to come overy and not be able to do anything but sadly I don't have anyone else to come over and help me if they can.

Just trying to weigh my options before doing anything. Thanks for any and all help.

@Tasuki Really doubt the ISP will be able to do it remotely, it's not that you can't access the settings from another network but you'd need to access it yourself in the first place to set it up so they could. Ultimately it depends on who your ISP is, their policy on this kind of support and the functionality of your router. Get a friend round with a laptop.

@kyleforrester87 Unfortunately I don't know anyone who has a laptop, and no one is going to carry their desktop over, don't blame them there. I wasn't thinking of them doing it remotely just having a tech come over that can do it. You mentioned policy is this something illegal that an ISP won't do?

@Tasuki Nah I mean there support policy.. Some might offer this kind of remote support, others might not. In theory they can just connect via the IP and log in using your details but I don't know if you need to go on in the first place to authorise that kind of connection since all routers and providers are different.

Just as an example on a linksys router you need to log on the router locally to enable remote log on:

That said it could be on by default for your particular router. Give your ISP a ring if you really can't get a computer to access the router. Alternatively take your router to someone else's house and plug it in and log onto it and change the settings that way. Bit of a pain though as you might not get it right first time.

i have a similar problem but with the Now TV app, every other streaming app works fine, Youtube and Netflix for example and my games all run fine too but for some reason Now TV just keeps cutting out

"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"

@kyleforrester87 well every time i use it is plays for a few minuets then stops and my PS4 then disconnects from my WiFi, the app is literally disconnecting my PS4 form the internet

@kyleforrester87 yeah, how did you know that?

@FullbringIchigo Now Tv are blaming your problem on an issue with TalkTalks router saying it needs a firmware update to stop this problem. To me it seems like they are passing the buck, but hey. They do recommend setting your PS4 to have a static IP so you could try this, otherwise if you really want to use Now TV you might want to try a new router.

It's a shame for you as I actually really like Now TV, I use it a lot more than Netflix and the like.

@kyleforrester87 i just started using the XB1 app instead, no issues there (one of the many advantages of owning multiple consoles)
