Hi all, please bear with me for my first post on this forum.
I am a long time PS user from PS2 onwards, I have recently been using a PS4 but decided to upgrade to a PS5 for some new games, especially since I learned that PS4 games can be played on PS5.
I wanted to transfer my data over to my new 5 console and eventually found out how to do it by muddling through as I usually do, I am signed in on both consoles, I am using an Ethernet cable between the consoles and my consoles are connected to my WiFi home hub, but the transfer is taking hours and hours and still hasn’t finished yet, over 24 hours so far, also when I first transferred my Sniper Elite5 game over before the main data transfer, the DLC content I bought didn’t transfer over.
I am also using a separate USB storage hard drive , both consoles and the hard drive are less than half full.I gather that this is a known problem with data transfer, how can I fix it without wiping everything out please? ☹️😱
Update! My PS4 data and games have finally finished transferring to my PS5, but my Sniper Elite 5 DLC hasn’t transferred, do I have to buy them all again, nearly £50!
No, you should be able to find & download them on the PS Store. If you're logged in with the same PSN name on the PS5 as the PS4, you should be given the option to re-download it if you can find the particular DLC. Instead of the purchase price, you should just see a 'Download' button.
