Topic: PS5 digital edition playtime/fan sound

Hello and thank you for taking some time in reading this post. As the title says, this is a question as to playtime on a ps5 and the fan noise.

On average what is the minimum time can you play a game on a ps5 before you should turn it off to cool down and how long should you let it cool? I am mainly asking becuase i know recently some of the newer games can cuase the PS5 to heat up faster then normal.

I am also wondering do the fans on a digital edition of a ps5 suppose to make any noise? I ask becuase when i have the ps5 running and im playing a game when i get up to go get a drink or something to eat i can hear the PS5 fan.

I know this may be an odd or even idiotic question but i have had issues previously with other consoles so i like to make sure i take care of them properly and any noise i hear i naturally ask to find out if its normal or not.

If a ps5 fan does start to become loud can it be easily replace

A normally functioning PlayStation five can run continuously. Assuming you haven’t put it in a sealed box, you can play for as long as you like.

Fans do make some noise being able to hear it if your TV is muted isn’t a problem.

If is overheating because it’s dusty, you’re better off cleaning it and replacing it. The side panels are straightforward to remove when you’re cleaning it. You shouldn’t have to dismantle it any further than that. I generally clean my PS5 every two years or so.
