Topic: PS5 Unsupported Disc Read Error...

So I'm starting to notice that within the last couple months a epidemic of people are having issues with their systems all of a sudden quit reading PS4/PS5 discs. (Mine just quit) Has anyone had any positive outcome(s) of getting theirs fixed? I'm assuming it's a laser issue. But what I don't understand is why does it play BluRay and DVDs?

I've only seen this with one game (Thymesia), I couldn't fix it but luckily a system software update came out about a week after I bought the game and for me that fixed it, I've no idea why.
