Topic: Private and/or Visitor Messages?

How can/do I leave a visitor message on someone's profile, or send someone a Private Message?

Surely this forum doesn't lack such a common feature?

I am afraid that Push Square along with Nintendo Life and Pure Xbox does not have a PM system.  The reason being is that it would be a hard thing for mods to handle.  It can lead to bully, stalking, spamming etc.  Must users on Nintendo Life use Backloggery.com to PM each other as long as both parties have an account there.

I have heard rumors that they are looking into a PM such of system but that it would be more of a public messenger system but I am not sure how far off that is or if they are even going through with it.

@Tasuki: I'm trying to talk to a friend, and he isn't staff on here. He has accounts on other websites, but he's only been online here on PushSquare for the past few days, and I don't know how else to reach him (we only know each other online).

Yeah no problem at all.  The only thing else I can suggest is maybe trade emails with him or PSN IDs, Gamer Tags or something along those lines, even Facebook.

Thing is I can actually see where the staff is coming from not having a PM system I have accounts on other forum sites that do have a PM feature and I can't tell you how much spam I get in them a week.  So yeah I am quite glad we dont have a PM system here.  Honestly I just dont see how everyone thinks that every site needs a PM system when there are so many other ways to get in contact with people nowadays.

@Tasuki: I'd need to be able to get ahold of him to trade contact info though, and like I said this is the only place he's active on right now...soo I'm kinda screwed until he bothers checking the other sites he has accounts on. (still appreciate you taking time to reply here though, means alot)

Not a problem again, I just wish there was some way I can help you.  If the person you want to get in contact has the option under edit profile to contact him/her when some @mentions them they will get an email saying that someone @mention him on this site and you could contact them that way.

Basically you just have @thentheirprofilename: just in that format in a post and you can contact them that way.
