It has been quite some time since I made a post about the site and some changes that will be going on. First off let me say that change is inevitable especially when it comes to a site like Push Square. As the community, grows and technology changes we go through changes to remain relevant, and to keep the site up to date. Like any good website staff Ant, Sammy and the rest of the staff have been working hard and discussing ways to improve the site for a better experience for all in various ways. From making the site easier and a better experience for you the user to making it so it requires less work on part of Ant and Sammy so that they can concentrate more on articles and just enjoying the site themselves. It is truly an ever evolving beast onto itself.
And that brings me to the point of this post. One of the changes that will be happening is that at the end of this month I will be relinquishing my banhammer. I know some of you well let's be honest be happy with this news while others won't and then some may not even have a feeling one way or another. Even so I want to say how much of pleasure it it has been being a mod for you all and shaping this site into what it has become.
For the past 5 years it has been my job, a job that I took very seriously to keep these forums friendly, and a welcoming place for all. Never once was a decision I made based on spite or because I could despite what some may think. I tried to treat everyone equally to the best of my ability which I will admit wasn't easy at times but to be a good mod I had to treat everyone equal. I also assure you this is not a factor of me retiring as mod. The truth of the matter is, there never was a set limit to me being a mod. It wasn't said that I would be a mod for a year or 2 or even 5. In fact I hadn't realized it has been 5 years untill I checked to see how long it was the other day. The years just slipped by cause honestly I enjoyed helping Ant and Sammy where I could to build this site up to be the way it is today. It made me feel good that I was able to take that burden off of their shoulders so they could concentrate on other matters. It also made me feel good that I made this place a friendly and welcomed place.
Yes there have been times that I did receive nasty messages from users on PSN due to something that I did here in regards to moderating but in the end it was worth it to make this place a safe and friendly place for all. I honestly enjoyed being a mod despite getting the nasty messages but I took as part of the job.
So what happens now? Does the this mean the forces of chaos and anarchy will reign over the forums? Will there be new rules? Can users freely cuss? I honestly don't know, but I feel that Ant, Sammy and the rest of staff will have things under control and in due time will let you know what going on. Will someone replace me and if so who? Again I don't know if someone will or who, that's up to Ant and Sammy and in the end I know they will make the right decisions for the site.
As for what will happen to me. It's tough for me to say. I don't plan on leaving the site, I have been assured by Ant and Sammy that I will always have a place here, but honestly I don't know if I can leave the modding behind. I feel that I won't be able to and only cause disruption but on the other hand it just might be fun to just see if I can do that, just relax and not worry about everything. I am sure that even if I don't post I will at least lurk in the shadows as I tend to do. Read an article here, read a thread there as this is still my favorite place to get PS news.
Anyway I feel this post has gone on long enough and if you have made it this far thank you for reading. I also want to thank each and everyone who has been a part of Push Square these past 5 years, thank you for putting up with my iron hand and strict modding lol. Thank you Ant, Sammy and the rest of the Push Square staff for giving me this opportunity to make this site the best PlayStation site on the internet. I hope the best for all of you and wish you all and the site success for the future. It has been my pleasure serving as your mod these past 5 years it is something I will cherish forever.

Sammy I expect some sort of special emblem by my avatar pic to commemorate my retirement 😂
@Tasuki 😢 Wow. I feel kind of surprised by this.
Many, many thanks, my friend, for all your service through the years. I’ve only been here a couple years, but I still appreciate all the hard work. I sure hope you stick around and share your gaming thoughts and opinions, even if you aren’t moderating. It won’t be the same without you!
Shocker! Sammy and co will struggle to find someone as committed to the cause. You should absolutely try and stick around, with your “mod hat” off. It could be a fun experience for you.
I'd like to echo the same comments as the others, a huge thank you for your efforts over the years! It's been a tough gig keeping this mob in order and you certainly played your part in trying! Now you can enjoy the retirement
@Tasuki great post Taz, you are the only mod I have ever known and a true gent. You may now get some time to actually play games! Thank you for all of the support over the last 5 years (I joined Feb 2015) with all the threads you have participated in and we have all enjoyed the banter in the forums. Take care bro and don't be a stranger.

@Tasuki You've been the mod since I first came on here, so seeing you without that star is gonna take getting used to. Thank you for the years of service, we'll see you around as one of us normies!

I've only been here a few months @Tasuki so I don't know you as well as everyone else here but thanks for all the hard work! I'm sure the poor sod lucky soul who replaces you will carry on your moderation legacy!
@Tasuki Thank you for your huge contribution to the site. I've always said that Push Square's community stands heads and shoulders above the rest and you were a big reason for it.
@Tasuki Thank you for keeping this site civil and clutter free for so long. I hope whoever takes on the role after you is as good and dedicated as you have been. Once again Thank-you

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
Thank you for your services, Tasuki! I may not have been around much during your reign as moderator, but I always appreciate and good mod, and in my experience you seemed to be one of those. Hope to you around!
Thank you for all the kind words everybody. I am pretty sure that Sammy and Ant will have things under control without me.as mod, I will admit it will be odd not being able to deal with the spammers and what not when they rear their ugly head.
Still as one user put it if even a small fraction of the user base thinks "What will Tasuki do". I feel that I did quite well as a mod.
