Topic: Fortnite Doesn't Make Sense

I just played Fortnite last night for the first time. Something doesn't make sense. What is the point of building walls, stairs, etc ? You go to the trouble of making a little building...only to have the storm close in on you. It seems to be a waste of resources to use a bunch to make something, only to have to leave the area when the storm closes in on you.

You build it to defend yourself from another players, change position etc

That is the whole point in Fort. You can build yourself a cover in the middle of a fight as a protection from bullets. Or Build yourself real Base to control position, which is especially effective in the final moments of match, when the zones become smaller. Or just build staircase to reach high point or to reach enemy's base.

It doesn't make sense to answer a year old post.

Listening to people screaming and swearing when they lose doesn't make sense either but when you hear them punching desks and throwing objects across the room it's very entertaining.
