Topic: Gran Turismo 6 (Friday Evening Grand Prix)

I started a new club in Gran Turismo 6 called Friday Evening Grand Prix. There will be one race course available to race per day on Saturday's - Thursday's, with two - four courses to race on Friday's. A monthly qualifier for an 18 - 20 lap race will be held on the last day of every month. Feel free to share your courses with me, Rukiafan7 and I will likely add the track as an event course every so often! My club ID is 1073751. I look forward to seeing you guys there!

I guess everyone is going to be playing Rocket League now and forevermore...

No disrespect but do you really expect many people to be playing a 5 year old last gen game online still, especially on a forum like this with no more than 10 regular posters?

Maybe you'll get lucky, but Me thinks you'll be better off looking on a forum out there that specialises in GT6.

@kyleforrester87 Has a valid point. Most people nowadas are playing on PS4. You expect a last gen game especially a sports type game to have an active online community. The only people that will be playing it are the hardcore GT vets especially untill a new one comes out and that's even if they still have a PS3.

It would be like me going on CoD: World at War and wondering why online is dead. If you are looking for an online racing game try Driveclub I believe a few users around here play that at times.

I guess I'm just weird in the fact that I just don't sell my old consoles unless its next-generation has full backwards compatibility?

@kyleforrester87 I'd understand if there were a newer game in the series, but there's not which is why it's so surprising...

No ones knocking you for playing your old consoles but I'm sure you can appreciate that the majority of people have moved on to the current generation by now. Pointing out the obvious, it would be worth keeping up if multiplayer is your thing.

I see! Sorry I tend to get over-excited and come across contrary to how I'm meaning to sometimes, but I'm just an oddball so don't mind me lol. xD

@Reanfan7 Yeah keeping old consoles is not a bad thing, heck look at how many I have. Sadly in this day and age though not many people do that. Once the newer better version come out people toss the old one aside and that's it, pretty wasteful if you ask me.

Anyway with that said you can't expect online aspects of older games on older consoles to be active for that reason unless of course the newer console has backward compatibility. Even then it depends if the company keeps the servers up.

@Reanfan7 I've really enjoyed your posts over the last few days! Don't feel disheartened by what @kyleforrester87 posted, he's right of course as GT 6 is quite old now. However this thread could lead onto getting the gt sport group together with @Kyroki and I. Keep posting your Vita TV thread was brilliant in my opinion.

And yeah your right we play Rocket League.
