Topic: Hardware Rivals

Thought I would make a thread for the game as most people will be downloading it as they read this message. What do people think of the game? Or if anyone wants to do team death matches then leave a message here. I think i remember there being a team option if not ignore this message.

@dryrain: Don't think its available in US PSN Store, yet. How do you find the game so far, is it any good?

I played the beta of the game last year and really enjoyed it so was looking forward to its release. It runs more smoothly now than it did in beta which is good. The game has got that fun rocket league feel to it. You can just pick up the game and have some fun. Graphics are fine and there are some good arenas to battle in.

A few things which I would have liked to see in the game. Fully customisable paint jobs on cars. You can only choose presets. Also either there is no voice chat or I can not find it in options. This game would benefit from voice chat I have no idea why they would not put it in the game. Please correct me anyone if you manage to do voice chat in the game.

Overall the game is fun, will it have the same impact as rocket league? did probably not. I think it was a good game to give out on PS Plus as it will get a big audience which the game needs.

I was just playing a death match and the game put only me in the game with no ther players. But it does not end the game it just lets you drive around. So there was me driving around thinking the othe player must be hiding some where waiting to ambush me. Turns out I was just chasing my tail lights lol

I will play Wednesday 6.1.16 @ 10pm - or in usa language 1.6.16 @ 3pm Eastern.

I played bit but it didn't really do much for me. I might play some off and on to grab a few trophies but it's no Rocket League.

I tried it and deleted it, not for me and certainly no RL.

Tested out the beta and loved it, this looks like a refined version of it, which is great. Small disclaimer, this ain't Rocket League but a really fun vehicle combat game (Twisted Metal fans rejoice). Gameplay is solid, albeit the limited customization options for both your character and vehicles.

@themcnoisy: I'll try to be on for an hour played a bit yesterday, found the controls really awkward to be honest, didn't think much of it but should be more fun as part of a group

I'm finding it a bit slow at the moment. I think it could do with moving much faster.

Anyone here played the original on Ps2? I'm looking to pick up another Ps4 in the next week or so and I'll be trying this, but I'm just wondering how it compares with that. I used to enjoy the original, and with it being a freebie on the Central Station disk it's online community seemed to outlast the likes of Twisted Metal Black oddly enough, so if there's any maps or anything brought over then that'd be easier for me to settle in.

@get2sammyb: It's boring. It's a good thing they gave it away on PS+ because it feels just like a free 2 play game.

@getsammyb which car are you driving? The small buggy seems to be the best for speed and turning. If they make the cars faster then the tank would get circles run around it. What I like about the game is you can pick it up and play and have fun straight away. Even if the members of your team are not great you can still make up for it with extra kills and damage yourself.
