Topic: WipEout Omega Collection VR Update

I don't have PSVR, but I do love WipEout.

Playing with anything but the close chase camera option is totally alien to me, but the VR update sounds nuts (small piece on Eurogamer today).

Sound off if you're trying it out/loving it/hating it/throwing up over your DS4...

@KALofKRYPTON tried it a few hours ago. Unplayable for me - Extreme sickness in the first lap on wipeout hd.

I need to point out I am quite motion sick anyway especially when I was younger. It looked amazing but yeah I cant play it even with changing the options like stick to track, the viewing angle (this was just a tickbox so Im unsure what it does as it made no difference) etc.

I then got even iller playing scavengers odyssey which was the last game to play on vr worlds.

I havent got a headache as such but dont feel great now.

I've not engaged in any VR racing, so I'm really not sure if I'd feel ill or not.

@KALofKRYPTON I think Im just prone to motion sickness. Loads of other people seem fine with games I tend to struggle with. Give it a go if you dont get sick, its absolutely amazing. I get a touch motion sick with Rush of Blood for god sake lol.

@themcnoisy Do you get motion sick watching other people play? I know that can be a thing for people.

Well.. it's mind blowing if you ask me. At first I had to go around each track and check how everything looks and.. MAN! it is something else.. then I started to race.. and firing the weapons from the cockpit view.. it is magic! That is all

@KALofKRYPTON I have in the past. But totally agree with @Apczak if you are in the majority of gamers who get on with vr give it a whirl, whilst us sick notes crack on with less extreme games. Have you got psvr?

I do not. I have mates with it, so I'll probably get to try WipEout VR soon enough. I really can't justify the PSVR purchase though. I just know I wouldn't use it all that much.
