I've only played a bit of Bioshock 1 on my laptop before it fried, and this game supposedly comes with Bio 1 on the blu-ray disk

ooh that sounds like a good deal. Is this the type of game I need to play the first 2 before I play infinite?

Wow, if it comes with the first one on-disc, I might as well pick it up

They're almost completely different games other than sharing the Bioshock game, so I'd say it's not required to play the first two.

I'd just not miss out on BioShock if I were you. It's one of the best games to ever be developed, in my humble opinion that is.

Playing through Bio1 at the moment in preparation. I plan to play infinite with move (I know I will be in the minority).

To be honest with all of the hype around Bio1 being ground breaking, coming to it now it has not aged gracefully. The graphics are way below current standards, and I can only describe the game play as repetitive. All of the levels effectively contain the same people and the same objects. I also find the game's basic tenant of just kill everything that moves limiting. I am nearly finished but honestly will be glad when it is over.

Rapture is still haunting and disturbingly beautiful as a world/backstory, but if it was released today, the critics would say "Great idea, but failed to deliver". It just shows you how far games have come in the last 5 years. Huge strides.

I'm more excited than is possible.
It'll be intresting to see how to make a Bioshock game outside of Rapture
PEGI ratings will probably stop me in my tracks from getting it though.
