@PS_Nation @ApostateMage I went through a fantasy open world action-RPG phase and I played Kingdoms of Amalur in pretty close succession to Dragons Dogma, Skyrim, and Dragon Age Origins. DAO was the weakest of that lot I’d say (just my personal opinion, which I know is probably unpopular. I felt DAO was clunky, poor combat, repetitive in nature, the setting and characters didn’t grip me, etc, etc). KOA was pretty close to as good as DD and Skyrim though. It plays more like God of War as far as combat though, so that really sets it apart. I think it’s a case where the name of the game was so awkwardly chosen that it may have hurt sales. And it wasn’t marketed very well.
I spent many enjoyable hours running around the game and highly recommend it, as long as you don’t mind the constant weapon and armor leveling and upgrades and inventory management that these games are all plagued with. It’s not any worse than any of the other games in this regard, but ultimately the formula of this genre is so similar and these games are all like 100+ hour fests that the tedium eventually set in for me. But I wouldn’t mind taking another trek although a remastered version of KOA, even though it will never happen.

@Fight_Teza_Fight
Binary Domain: superb tps that's completely ott and tons of fun. Hugely underrated.
Hard Corps: Uprising. It's contra, but with a gorgeous graphical style and some light rpg elements and tons of unlockables.
Lollipop chainsaw: Japanese b movie schlock with a chainsaw weilding cheerleader who carries round her boyfriends severed head.
Ghostbusters: the movie sequel we all wanted, in game form. Looks amazing for the time and plays exactly how you'd want a Ghostbusters game to play.

@ApostateMage @Th3solution Now I really want to play the game after the way you guys described it. I will include it on my backlog. I also wonder if a gaming studio could buy the rights of the IP to release a remaster or a sequel, not sure if that's possible at all. Anyway, I will buy it on PS3.

Edit: I found the physical edition where I live for a good price.

@Th3solution Thank you good sir. =P

It will take some time for me to start it though, now I'm playing The Evil Within 2 and I already have Ni no Kuni 2 to start. Can't forget that God of War is coming soon.

@PS_Nation Thanks for those suggestions, but I own most of those across PS4 and Vita. I'm going to give it until the end of the year before I pick up Ico for PS3. That seems like another one that will/should get the remaster/remake treatment.

@Johnnycide I'll have to look up Binary & Hard Corps not heard of those before.
Lollipop Chainsaw! Adding that to the list. Thanks!

@ApostateMage Thanks!

More two games that I recommend:

*Shadows of the Damned - a great action game made by Suda, I really liked the characters and even the story.
*Siren: Blood Curse - even if I'm not a huge fan of horror games, Siren is really special, the plot is really amazing. A hidden gem.
