Topic: Captain's Scarlet and Her Pirate's Booty: Quick Review

After finishing all the story missions on Borderlands 2 there weren't any missions available that were appropiate for my level. I started to get bored for the lack of challenge on these lvl 25 missions when my Assassin is lvl 32 but then I realized bought most of the Borderlands 2 DLC to avoid this issue. This is my overall experience playing through this campaign DLC.

Review

On this DLC you embarc on a quest looking for Captain's Blade Treasure of the Sands that's hidden somewhere in the desert but it would be impossible doing this by yourself that's why Captain Scarlet and you forge an alliance with the sarcastic and backstabber she even admits the first time you met her that she might even betray you and stab you at the back any time when she gets what she needs.

There are 6 completly new areas most of them full of pirates and desert creatures even though that most of them are just psychos and marauders in a pirate outfit witha different name, so you are going to feel that you are fighting the these enemies all over again even though some of them are completly new I can still count with both of my hands all the new enemies and creatures added in this DLC, not counting bosses of course. To cross this huge deserts you are also going to use a new vehicle named Sandskift that is technicaly a floating boat with 3 available weapons being the harpoon the only one never seen before, easier to handle than you standar vehicles but easier to handle.

The level of the enemies will be adjusted depending on the level you warped into oasis, so when I entered the Oasis when I was lvl 32 must of the enemies and the loot obtained where level 30-32 so it'll always be a challenge for all Vault Hunters so level or completition of the story line completition is not a requirement and lvl isn't a wall that won't let you enjoy this DLC.

Most of the gear found on this DLC is high quality even though some are cursed by Captain Blade so be careful when you are using them, so after completition of this DLC you might've changed all the gear you had when you entered Oasis for the first time.This DLC will take you at least 8 hours to complete with all the optional quests and even less with friends without taking in mind the new raid bosses available after completition and has some good comedy and dialogue that will keep you entertained while playing it, just like in the main story.

Overview

Overall this is DLC will do a good job filling the empty space that leaves you the completition of the storyline. It will keep you triggers happy with some enemies, you will find some awesome loot and on the process the dialogue won't let you get bored easily still the lack of variety is still a huge let down on this Borderlands 2 campaign DLC. In the end you are going to have fun playing on this DLC but you are warned that must of the enemies are just reskinned enemies that are present on the game.

Yeah that'd be a good idea. Would help you guys too as theres probably only so much that you can review Id get involved anyway. Would put my Media studies college education to some use. I miss those days when I used to review Ps2/Xbox/GC games for my college newsletter lol

@Epic Well written review. Im waiting on the VIta version myself so Im hoping some of the DLC makes it over. This 16 hour long DLC sounds pretty good with a few niggles, 7/10 indeed, but must be packed with content to last that long. How much is it by the way?

@MadchesterManc 10$ don't know the price of EU. Remember that it lasted that long because I complete all the optional missions. Without those optional missions it might not even last 6 hours to complete alone. If you are playing with someone else it might be even less.
