With an interview with GTPlanet, Kaz said they were currently working on a new audio engine for GT6. It looks like it won't be in the demo, but it is something they are actively working on. He made it seem like it's POSSIBLE that the audio engine won't be complete in time for release though.

It was a minor detail in terms of a simulation, but the crappy engine tones in GT5 really let me down. I love engine noises almost more than music so this is huge news for me!  I'm disappointed the demo won't have the update mainly because I worry it will effect the reputation of the game, but better late than never!

In related news, I just put on a Graves short pipe on my motorcycle ('13 zx6r) and it sounds amazing. If it weren't so obnoxiously loud, I'd be in love with it. I'm hoping the silencer I ordered won't hurt the tone too much.

I didnt mind GT5's audio. I was actually quite impressed by how almost every car seemed to have its own unique engine sounds. Ive still yet to play any other sim that could say the same. But if they think it needs improving, Im not complaining

I personally thought almost all the cars sounded exactly the same. I wouldn't say any other sim is better, but Need for Speed Most Wanted (even on Vita) is vastly vastly better. It might only have a handful of cars in comparison, but it's heaps HEAPS better in terms of engine tones (but not as a game).

Super excited for GT6 though! I'm hoping it will be offered on the PSN for PS4 (via that weird PS3 emulation mode or w/e), but either way it will be awesome.
