So, with the patch now available I wanted to see how you guys are enjoying Heavy Rain. I absolutely loved it the first time - with the exception of the horrible walking controls - but having played it for an hour or so with the Move last night I'm in two minds now.
haven't played the move-enabled version yet....I loved it to death and back with PS3 controls though--I didn't have a problems with the R2 move at all...I just didn't really understand its inclusion, but it didn't detract from my immense enjoyment of the game.
One of my favorites, and one I've lent to almost every friend I have who's gotten a PS3. I consider it a mandatory play

You know, I really wanted Heavy Rain at one point, but after playing Final Fantasy 13, I realized a game that is a movie is a really bad idea. I prefer a game that's supposed to be fun, or a movie I can doze off to without being forced to press buttons every 5 seconds. HR is neither and therefore it's not for me.
I don't have a PlayStation Move yet, but I played the regular version and loved it. The game is so awesome, and I still did not unlocked all the endings and collected all the trophies. Maybe when I buy the Move, I'll replay Heavy Rain with the new controls. The regular controls worked fine to me though, I had no problems with it.
I played a lot more last night and still have mixed feelings about it. The fight scenes are fantastic with Move - it's extremely responsive and really gets you sat on the edge of your seat. The other bits... not so good. Anyway, hopefully there'll be a review on Monday
I really hope that somehow they've improved crawling through that tunnel, but as it was based in the regular moving around controls and not the button prompts originally, I doubt it's changed.
I felt that even with the original prompts, it felt surprisingly immersive. Especially the second-to-last challenge... really moving and intense.
There's one aspect of the game that annoys me more the more I think about it, but I can't talk about it here as it's related to the story, and to spoil even a tiny fragment of the story would be a terrible crime.
I got the best ending and tried to go back and play worse to get the other ones, but I just couldn't do it. I had become so involved with the characters, to intentionally put them in harm's way... unthinkable!
I started the game with Move and I remember now how tragically slow the first couple of hours are. The main reason I'm starting over is trophies, but as far as the motion stuff goes, some of it feels really natural and intuitive. I do have a few gripes, but it's still too early to tell if it's just getting used to the controls or if actually is awkward. More impressions later as I jump into the game.
@Aceun - i LOVE the beginning...I think the devs really have balls the size of planets to pace a game they way they did at the start--it sets the mood brilliantly and really makes you care about Shawn.
Jason!? JASON!? Jaay-son?

The first time I played the beginning it was the one of the most impressive things I've seen in a video game. Replaying it now... not so much. I'm much farther in now. The fight scenes are rather impressive.
Do you need both the move controller as well as the navigation controller ?? I haven't bought the navigation controller yet as I didn't think it wasn't worth it until some good shooters come out.
Thanks for the response NESPro I appreciate it. Do you have to buy the move edition or can you buy the standard original release and use that with the move controller ?
You can use the standard release as long as your PS3 is connected to PlayStation Network as it needs to download a free update. There's no need to buy the Move Edition, any disc will work with this update
Just got the plat after 3 full playthroughs and like 6 partial playthroughs. The game was amazing everytime although not being able to skip the credits after the first time was annoying. Does anyone know if any dlc will be coming out for the game because if it isn't then I think that I will sell it.
@Castle... there is the Taxidermist and I think that is about it. I want to say that the other DLC packs were cancelled and the team is working on the sequel. I'm not entirely sure on that, but I read that back months ago.
