Okay guys. I bought a ps3 80gb on ebay like four years ago. And it has done nothing but treat me superbly. Although I knew that the ps3 slim has its advantages, I've enjoyed the backward compatibility of my system, especially for kingdom hearts. I think I may have just gotten the yellow light of death, which seems odd for how long it took to get there.
I was playing bioshock and all of a sudden my system shut off. I went to look at it and the red light was blinking. So, I flipped the switch in the back on and off again and the light was the normal solid red. Hit the button, went green...and then quickly went yellow before going red again.
I know this is a bad thing. I have a few questions though -
1. Is it able to be saved? Is it worth saving?
2. Is there anyway at this point to save my hard drive? I had upgraded it to a 250gb or so.
3. If so, is there a way to save the data somehow without it being formatted? I know to swap hard drives you're supposed to use a backup utility or something. But there was no way I would know that this was going to happen. I don't have ps+ so I don't have cloud saves.
4. If i try again, is there a way to save the disc? (not the biggest problem, I know)
I'm just freaking out and I could use some good advice.
