My awesome sister got me this for my birthday/Christmas and I figured I'd share my thoughts on it here.

Subgun

Hardware:
It's plastic, not much to be expected haha. The butt of the gun doesn't have a solid fit so it tends to move around a bit. To fix this, I just put a piece of scotch-tape on the connectors giving it a much better fit. (scotch-tape hack!)
Other then that, a big issue is that the trigger to the Move controller has a distinct "click" to it every time the trigger is pulled. Not a huge deal, but it gets annoying fast. Also should be noted that the scope out of the box is 100% useless for the most part because the ridicule is on the eye piece and not the front end of the scope. A bit of marker fixed this. (marker hack!)

Gameplay:
Playing with this worked extremely well once I got used to moving with my right thumb and shooting with my left index finger. I tested it out on MAG, The Shoot, Time Crisis, and Blokus (lol). It worked well in MAG except for the ability to quickly use any of the buttons on the Move controller. I still preferred using this to to my Precision Shot 3 because of the size/feel of the gun.
I'm hoping more games allow for better customization of controls (making L2 shoot instead of T). If I could just map more controls, this would be near perfect for my style of gaming.

Conclusion: It's a good accessory for fans of shooters with a bit of cash to spare, but I wouldn't recommend purchasing it just yet. The Sharp Shooter gun attachment soon to be released looks like it will provide much better control and accessibly of buttons compared to the Submachine Gun. I still prefer using the joystick with my right thumb over the left and if you feel the same, this might be worth picking up.

I came so close to buying this, but ultimately decided to hold out until Sharp Shooter Elite releases, as shooting with my left hand would be really unnatural for me.

Thanks for the info on the gun though, great stuff!

Looks pretty good, but it sounds pretty rubbish according to your review I hoped Sony we get it right this time grrr... hehe

I honestly wouldn't call it rubbish at all. I still like it a lot after the butt-tape and.. well let's be honest.. who'd really use the scope haha. It does exactly what I expected it to do. If I could just get custom button mapping, it would be perfect for me.

It's still worth getting if you wanted the right-hand joystick rather then the left. When the Sharp shooter comes out, I'll try and post my thoughts on that one as well

Well from what I understand Killzone will allow total custom control over the layout/buttons!

After owning the wii and playing this plastic gun accessory stuff I quickly learned turning using one of these while moving your character using the left thumbstick is quiet disorienting, Nathan I was curious if you had any issues relating to my claim as the only game I actively tried playing that required use of both functions (that I used gun accessory for) was Links Crossbow Training. I also found while playing Time Crisis (on ps3) and Conduit (on wii) that my pointer would shake a bit as I try to keep my arm still, does this gun correct that problem making it alot easier to point aim and keep locked on, or do you still find a bit of a shake?

Same as always. All bark, and no bite!

The main reason I got this over others is because of the right thumb joystick, but honestly, I feel either way it's a bit disorienting at first.

I didn't have any issues keeping the cross-hairs still on any of the games I've played with any accessory really. I would say using this over just the Move controller does help with stability in movement between targets but I think any "gun" controller does.

Not sure if that really answered your question, let me know if it didn't.

Thats perfect thanks Nathan.

On the wii the wii mote was quiet heavy compared to the light plastic molds of the perfect shot gun accessory and when using it often found my wrists getting sore within 45-60mins of playtime (long enough to finish any lightgun game, but worthless for an online fragfest.

Honestly, I never really play light-gun style games more then 30minutes or so at a time. I think they are a bit more casual and playing them excessively seems to wear them out faster. I think the longest I play MAG with Move at any time is maybe 2 hours at MOST (gaming A.D.D...)

I played that Resident Evil game on Wii with the Resident Evil gun and it seemed weigh about the same as the Precision Shot 3 for Move.

Sounds good, I'll likely buy the Sony official submachine gun when I get Killzone 3.

I've had surgery on my wrist twice and I can't withstand but maybe 3 hours of so straight of Move game play on average. Auditorium HD was so much fun, I think I pulled like a 5-6 hr marathon on it, until my wrist was killing me. I also have bad Gaming ADD myself as well.

HAVE to get this attachment when KZ3 comes out.  Could you imagine: This gun, the move, and playing in 3D?  So immersive. So awesome.
