Topic: PS3 switching off after a while - no red light

Hi,
My PS3 just switches off with a little click noise after between 1/2 hour and 1.5 hours playing.

There is no red light, and I don't think it is overheating (the fans are not loud). The whole system just shuts off as if I have switched it off at the mains.

The strange thing is that I have to either unplug the mains plug and plug it back in, or I have to switch the plug socket off and then on again, and then the PS3 red light appears again and I can start the PS3 up again.

Everything else is working fine.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Could it be the power cord, or the internal PSU of the console?

Sorry. Hope you’ve got it sorted 👍 sounds like a connection issue, wiring or some such. I’m technologically illiterate mind you haha
