It's not a JRPG. It's a puzzle game with some elements that are a little bit like a dating sim.
It's broken up into clearly defined parts. At times you'll be at a bar with your friends. You'll drink, talk, learn more about the characters, etc. At other times it's a pretty tough puzzle game.
Yeah, I was going to say, I wouldn't call it a JRPG at all. It's more a puzzle game crossed with a visual novel/dating sim... As @Johncalmc says, it's very unique and hard to label.
@johncalmc Would you say it's worth playing on the higher difficulty settings to get different endings and for a tougher challenge if you've already completed it on the easiest setting?
