@Bentleyma- Same here. I actually really liked Arthur Morgan too and after playing RDR2, I liked him more than John Marston. But taken in a vacuum, the Marston in the first game was the better protagonist just because I liked his plight better and the ending was amongst the best game endings I’ve ever played.

I'm playing Batman: Arkham Origins. It's definitely not as good as Rocksteady's trilogy, but I like the Christmas setting and how at this point in Batman's career, he's still a myth.

@XandertheWise Oh how I wish I wasn't an idiot and sold my PS3 back when I got the PS4. I would love to play MGS4 again at some point, and an unfinished Final Fantasy 13 all these years has haunted me on my trophy list.

@Iver I just hate owning a lot of consoles. I picked up a Switch last week and I already own a PS4. My PS3 just sat under my bed unused. It's a shame because I had quite a few good games. I kept meaning to play Eternal Sonata and White Knight Chronicles.

@Bentleyma If I could go back in time, I'd join the opinion of @Iver. I was an idiot then and cared more about trying to save money on the PS4. I know it sounds silly for me saying it was dumb to want to save money, but given that the only other option to play PS3 games is streaming them, having one is a necessity if you still want to play anything from that generation that didn't get a remastered release (which obviously a lot didn't).

At some point, I might spend some time and really go through the eBay auctions to find an actual good used one (it's not easy, but it's possible). Not right now as I have plenty to play on my PS5, but maybe at some point I'll take the time to try to find one, which will likely take a while as there's a lot of them on there and I will only get one that is in solid condition.

@Kidfried Yeah, it's a shame that Sony is far less concerned with backwards compatibility and all that than Microsoft, but that's a story that's already been discussed dozens of times.

That person's great list is a prime example of why it would be a good thing to have a PS3 if you have the time to use it. Maybe someday again.

I'm really glad that I still have my PS3 and that it works. I had an issue with it a couple of years ago where I put it in a spot with poor air circulation and it overheated. For a period, most of the time when I turned it on it would just shut down instantly. I solved this issue after some time and now I'm very grateful that it works. There are still so many games I have on it that I want to play. Recently I've been contemplating on playing titles from the Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection. Apparently there are some that aren't on the most recent Mega Drive collection on current systems, such as Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles and the two Ecco the Dolphin games. So I'm glad that I can still play those games.

@KilloWertz I didn’t even need the money! It was just packed away under my bed unused, so I sold it to someone at work for £30 with a bunch of good games! The annoying thing is he just wants to use it as a DVD/Blu-ray player! He has really good games like Diablo III, Tomb Raider and Metal Gear Solid V he could play, but no, he just wants to watch movies on it!

This is what he got for £30!

@Iver A lot of the games I owned are available on PS4, but there were a few that are PS3 exclusive that I wanted to get that would of made me keep the console if I bought them. Games like 3D Dot Game Heroes and Folklore, but they were pretty pricey, so I never got them.

@Anti-Matter I started the PS3 version of Ni no Kuni a few weeks ago. Obviously I can’t play it now that I’ve sold my PS3, but I liked what I played. The graphics are amazing, even now.

@Bentleyma
My PS3 games are keep growing.
I have collected 41 PS3 games by January 2022 since i started to build again my PS3 games from December 2019.
Ni no Kuni was the 41st PS3 game i bought last 3 January 2022 after i have ever owned it on year 2013 but i have to sell it on year 2015 due to financial crisis.
And don't worry, all my PS3 games are for kids (Everyone, Everyone 10+, PEGI 3, PEGI 7, PEGI 12 games only) with very few Teen games (The Sims 3, The Sims 3 Pets, FF XIII)

Edit: I have Trio Trilogy PS3 games as well (Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, Sly Cooper Collection, Jak & Daxter Collection)

Well the person I sold the PS3 to still hadn’t set it up after a month, so I bought it back off him. I will mostly be playing Sonic the Hedgehog and Tales of Xillia.
