So I just discovered that Diablo 3 is NOT an online only game. For some reason I thought it was. Anyways, I'm looking into getting the game but I wanted to ask what everyone else thought of it. I like Borderlands 2, I LOVE Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and this game seems like something I'd really enjoy. Had a PC gaming friend that swore by this game, but I still wanted to get everyone's thoughts on it.

Any Diablo 3 fans here? What do you think?

Hey man,

I was always under the impression that it was an online-only game as well.  I blame that on the fact that I am not a PC gamer in the least and just never paid that much attention to PC games.  Anyways, once I realized it was coming to consoles last year I did my research on it and decided to give it a try.

My girlfriend and I have since played through the whole campaign as a local co-op team and absolutely love it.  We're on our second playthrough now with our leveled-up characters on Nightmare difficulty.  After that we obviously have Hell and Inferno difficulty to look forward to.  We were looking for a game that we could actually play together and it is simply a perfect fit.  We each play as different classes and it's incredibly fun to discuss battle strategy with the person sitting next to you.

It is a fantastic game with excellent replay value.  I can't speak to it as an online game because we're not online gamers at all.  But as a local co-op game it's one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Hope this helps!!

My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."

First time I played it I wasnt impressed but as I went on it got better and better and is actually really addictive.
Demontrates that generic/repetitive gameplay can still make a great game

The crowd, accepting this immediately, assumed the anti-Eurasian posters and banners everywhere were the result of acts of sabotage by agents of Goldstein and ripped them from the walls.
