New Battleborn beta available for predownload. Starts April 8 through the 18th. New YouTube video called Battleborn Bootcamp, covers the game nicely. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
So far the beta is OK. Biggest plus is the variation of characters. I do like the leveling up during game modes too. I enjoyed the single player campaigns the most and wish there were more. I can definitely see playing those split screen with a friend. I'm not sure if the game has much traction to last long though.
I tried the Beta and ... meh ... although its interesting and surely fun with your mates Id not want to pay full price for it
Gameplay is really hectic though, graphics are okay (I really like the art style and the colorful "cel shading") but could be way better, the levelling is fun (though also hectic during the game) - I think if this would be a relative cheap download title the game could be a success but Idk about how this will turn out retailed at full price ..
I've been playing as Miko while my girlfriend has been playing as the archer lady. We make a pretty good team in PvE, but don't really care for the PvP.
My biggest complaint is the performance... graphically, it doesn't look that great so I'm not sure why it's only running at 30fps (with plenty of framerate drops even at 30....). I don't mind a constant 30fps, but it feels far from constant. The controls are also kinda.. jumpy? I had to turn the sensitivity way up for it to feel comfortable, but this just accentuates the poor frame rates.
I'm assuming performance is pretty much set, but I hope for a patch later on to boost performance/visuals to an (imo) acceptable level.

Game are giving away packs of Battleborn cards. When I went in today I was talking to the manager and he gave me about 50 packs. Not really my thing but guess I probably go a full set with all those packs lol
I like Galilea. I only played with her a couple times, but she can take hits deals heavy damage and can self heal a little. Before that used Montana mostly. I did well, but died the most almost each round, maybe it was from him being such a huge target. It couldn't be my poor skills.
I played the open beta last night and I was confused the entire time. I played Oscar and the dude with the red sith swords. Few cool moments, but overall did not have fun with it. Wish the game and Gearbox success, but it's not my cup of tea.
I can't seem to figure out who my favorite character is. In PvE, I really enjoy Caldarius for his speed. In PvP I often find myself playing Miko just to help out the team... but I can't say I enjoy playing him all that much. I usually do best as Orendi, but I feel cheap nearly insta-killing other players.
Meltdown is my favorite PvP type, but it also seems to be one of the harder modes without a pre-made party. Too many people focus too heavily on killing other players and end up allowing minions to score easy points. There was one around where the other team had on average 20+ kills a player... but still lost the round even though my team averaged less than 5 kills each.
PvE is a lot of fun with friends, but I worry the missions will get old fast. With a lot of the objectives being defense or escort, the variety might be lacking a bit. Boss mechanics are complex enough to be entertaining the first couple of times but generally simple enough that you won't have to rely on other players.
Performance is still sub par in final release. I don't have high hopes that it will be fixed, but now that I'm used to it, it's not too bad.
@Elodin I still feel like Galilea is a little over powered early on. Being able to be invincible, a stun monster, crazy dps, and prohibits healing makes her frustrating to fight until the later levels (by which point she probably way out-levels everyone else due to early game kills).

I still play it everyday and love it. It's a tad underrated in my opinion, but it still has a lot of room for improvement. One thing to be weary of is that this game has already gone on sale a couple times, so unless you're getting a good deal, it might be alright to wait.
The playerbase on PC is getting pretty low, but PS4 still seems strong. I might have to wait 5 minutes or so for a match of meltdown when playing weird hours, but usually it's very quick.

I got the game for £20 which I think is suprising as its a new as well. I like the game its such a shame they launched it so close to Overwatch it needed to be a couple of months apart which I think would have helped a lot. I might end up playing you some time go easy on me.
I just got this game for $9.99 @ Gamestop (I think it's this price on Amazon too). I used the remainder of what was left on a giftcard so I only spent $1.74 of my own money on this game. I did not have high expectations but so far I really enjoy it. The "saturday morning" 80's/90's cartoon show style is really awesome. The characters are unique. The gameplay is frantic in both a good way and bad way. I've only been playing the story mode so I can't speak for the multiplayer modes. My biggest gripe is that the load times are terrible and the characters say annoying stuff the entire time you're playing. So far I've only used 4-5 different characters. I'm best with Montana but horrible with Oscar Mike.
