Topic: Battlefield Hardline BETA Thread

Ok, lets discuss the newest DICE/Visceral game coming out in about a month

so far... im not that impressed with the Beta, i mean its battlefield and i kinda like it, but i still have so much to play on BF4 and it does feels like a mod and the game modes are somewhat weird to say the least

While the graphics feels somewhat worse, the framerate its superb, its pretty much stable 60fps i rather had that and 900p than 1080p

Considering there are quite a few games coming out around the same date im not sure ill this one priority

I played the alpha for about five minutes and hated it, sniped off a bike, then played the beta for five minutes and found the vehicle controls terrible in the SUV, it looks nice but after that; so what. I just find that while two groups of players in cars, helicopters, armed to the teeth and all descending on three locations whilst bowling each other up should be a lot of fun, its just stupid and really isnt. Maybe I should have played more but Its just more of the annualised tripe we've been talking about.

The more i play the more it feels like it should have been an add on for BF4, i dont see how this game can justify its $60 price tag

I'm not bothering with it myself. The more I play the Beta, the more I dislike the game and agree it should be launch as a DLC package (like Battlefield Vietnam was) There's so many baffling design choices that changes the core of the series with this game. The Mechanic class for example is almost redundant. I don't think I've ever had the chance to use the repair tool yet, and whilst the grenade launcher is good against cars & SUV's, anything more and you might as well spit instead. Vehicle handling feels worse than previous games, which is odd considering it was supposed to have been reworked for Hardline, with the bikes in particular being laughable as you bounce around the maps. Weapons seem a little unbalanced at the moment too. Everyone must've noticed how ridiculously OP the M16A3 is by now....Yeah. As a long time Battlefield player (since 1942) this is possibly the worst yet. Thanks for the Beta so I could play it before wasting my money
