I have played and enjoyed Borderlands and Borderlands 2 (on Vita and PS3). I have not played the Pre-sequel yet though, and I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy the PS4 remaster of it. I love the series, but I don't feel like buying Borderlands 2 AGAIN! So for those of you who have played it, is it worth it?
I am enjoying it as I enjoyed Borderlands 2 (I have the handsome edition on PS4). It is a "more of the same", with the low gravity mechanics that allows you to jump high and the oxygen (which sometimes is just annoying).
If you are a Borderlands fan and you wanna have more of it I would say get it (on a bargain possibly). You should be able to find the handsome collection for few bucks. Consider that in the collection come all the DLC for Borderlands 2 (some are amazing). You can also import your character from ps3 or psVita if I am not wrong...
All of the bl2 DLC is included in the handsome collection, and that is a staggering amount of content. You can also do cross save from ps3 to ps4 (and vita) which means you don't have to restart. So it may depend on if you played the DLC.
As for BL:TPS it's great. Just finished a playthrough with Nisha and she is very OP. Claptrap less so . There are a couple freezes mostly limited to the Claptastic voyage DLC but they've said there is a patch coming end of month.
I loved B2, but just couln't (and still can't) play through the P-S.
It lacks the humor that made B2 awesome, and the new gameplay is annoying instead of exciting.
At first sweet release provides much needed healing, but later on you really want cloud kill (was buffed hugely, so you may find references to it sucking, its good) and ruin.
The only way to just purchase the Pre-Sequel is on the PS3 i believe. The price is now cheap and since you like the other Borderlands game i say go for it if you still have a PS3. I found it fun, it offers interesting locations, and Claptrap is a playable character that does not need oxygen like the others.
The only issue is online play as the game is old and may not be very active now. I played the base game solo and i was able to defeat all except the final boss on the second play through.
Well, after trying a few classes out. I ended up going with Zero and melee build as a main. Gonna have the mechrmancer as my second class. Loving the story! Hilarious!
So I have a question on Borderlands 2. Once you finish the story can you go back and finish the side missions or do any that you haven't finished get erased when you do a second play through?

Finally got around to starting this one and I am enjoying it for the most part. As said before the story is what shines here especially if you like Handsome Jack in BL2 and wanted to see his rise to power. It's also interesting being able to play as character who you fought as bosses in BL2. Gameplay though I am kinda mixed. At times I like the zero gravity but at other times it just feels forced. Also the Oxygen thing takes a bit getting use to. It seems that enemies respawns alot quicker then it did in BL2.
Right now with this playthrough I am playing Nisha and am really in enjoying. Still trying to figure out which build I want to go with because they all sound alot of fun.

@Tasuki: I found Nisha was very strong. Probably OP. Claptrap is much less op, and I couldn't beat the end of claptastic voyage with him... but at least he's a robot and you don't have to think about oxygen.
@Mega-Gazz: The one I find that is really OP especially in groups is Doppleganger Jack. My son and I are playing a co-op run and even with his clones he's able to kill things faster then Nisha. I have had to adjust my playstyle with Nisha with more or less staying in the back sniping enemies then of course if they get too close switching over to a pistol. I find even with sniping her Showdown is a great asset to the team.

I generally played solo, didn't play Jack... maybe its time to go back
I did pistol spec with Nisha IIRC, FTH tree. Not needing to aim (Especially with a controller which is weaker aiming than a mouse)) basically puts it in easy mode I find. But if you are playing with an ablative tank, that could change things .
@Mega-Gazz: Yeah I will agree I enjoyed BL2 alot more but TPS has it moments. Honestly I feel like TPS should have been DLC for BL2 but then again because it uses a different set of characters I can see why it wasnt.
