Topic: Community ideas for the next megapoll.

Hi everyone. I have been busy in my new role and haven't been able to commit enough time to starting a polling thread. Last years was a ridiculous undertaking so I am looking for what the community would like to vote on this year.

Hopefully @Th3solution will have the time to run the polling thread, using me as a backup (always here buddy).

We have ran the best game of all time twice, best Playstation game, best Nintendo game and last year's Every PS3 game listed (amazing thread but crikey the work involved).

So I am opening the floor. Any good ideas out there?

Best PS4 game? (reluctant to do this when we can create the definitive list next year).

Best platform game?

Best trophy?

I'm out of ideas. Please help a middle aged fool out.

@themcnoisy I'd say "Communities best member" but it'd probably end badly for everyone.

Hardest trophy would be funny as some of those are absolute stonkers.

Worst games of the generation

Best Remaster/Remake, there have been a lot of Remasters and Remakes this gen some good and some bad

Best PS4 Box Art now that would be a doozy because there are a LOT of box arts out there

Worst sequel well lets be honest not every sequel lives up to the games that came before

@FullbringIchigo I like the Nintendolife box art brawl regular articles they do. Pick a Japanese, American and European box art for the same game and people vote on the best.

@kyleforrester87 sounds good although it's also it's a lot harder to that with modern games as most box arts are the same in each region now

@themcnoisy My schedule is hit-or-miss, but I can be as supportive as possible. As we see what ideas come forth and get an idea of what the direction of the poll might take then hopefully I can determine if I’ll have the time to lead it. I just want to make sure I can do it justice.

@Th3solution I'm not sure game ending would work because you can guarantee I would spoil the ending of something that everyone is playing through, like how at the end of Death Stranding it all turns out to be a dream within Kojima's head just as he was walking out of Konami.

@Rudy_Manchego Yeah, I thought about the “best ending” spoiler issue too. It would be tricky. NieR Automata would win anyways, so it’s a moot point.

Best franchise sounds fun. Imagine Final Fantasy vs Metal Gear Solid vs Yakuza vs Uncharted ... etc, etc.

Worst superhero?

Suprised no one has suggested Best Soundtrack. Whether by generation, console or year... though judging from the comments on the soundtrack of the decade articles it'll be a teensy bit divisive 😂

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy I think it would be a wee shame for the poor writer of those articles if we all voted for different soundtracks! I mean, we all know Nier Automata would have got more than an honourable mention 😂

I think game ending would be too difficult be you wouldn’t want the best ones to be spoiled and then you have people voting without being able to really consider endings of games they haven’t made.
Best soundtrack is a good one, allows to sample stuff fairly easy. I also like the idea is doing it be generation. That would also let us segment it more and make each project easier.

Here’s a fun one, buggiest disaster or something similar. We in detail, fight out the what worst/or worst technical performance games of each gen.

I would say best boxart ever (like for any platform)
Or most disappointing game this gen, realistically most of us don't play actual "bad games" so most disappointing would be more interesting.

Best buttocks in a video game.

We spend a lot of time staring at them when playing video games, so we should all have an opinion on it.
