After this E3, I'm definetely on the fence of switching to Xbox One when I decide to buy another console. My Wii U is keeping me busy and I loved the new announcmets from Nintendo, specially Splatoon, which came out of nowhere and got me really interested in it. Sony and MS don't have much interesting exclusives right now, but MS is doing a little better trying to get them. Their exclusive from Platinum Games got my attention as I never played a bad game from Platinum. This E3 also disapointed me a lot due to the absolute lack of Vita games. If there was a release window for Gravity Rush 2, I'd be happy, but there was nothing and I couldn't believe that FF Type-0 will be released on PS4 and Xbox One but not on the Vita...
I'm kind of disappointed by this year's lack of E3 coverage on PSN. There was no E3 virtual booth in Home and absolutely no videos to download. I was hoping to download the conference as I do every year along with the new game trailers but it looks like that won't be happening.
@rastamadeus - It was a very interesting game. I'm not a trophy hunter, so the switch wouldn't affect me in that regard. However, I never owned any of Microsofts' consoles before and I owned all of Sony's. It'll be strange to change but MS is getting more and more tempting, specially now that the Season 2 of Killer Instinct include my favorite fighter from that series: Cinder.
I just don't get people that were waiting for that ONE announcement (for example Last Guardian or Fallout 4) and because it wasn't there EVERYTHING was poop. Guys enjoy what we're getting, there's more on the way.
Too add to that Scollurio is I don't get on why it's such a far fetched expectations that people have for some games, like a Fallout 4 or another single player entry in the KOTOR. It's games like that for whatever reason everyone knows is not going to be announced but somehow people expect it and then are disappointed when it doesn't get announced.

Fallout 4 was heavily rumored to be fair and there's always that one game that a lot of people want to see that isn't there, I think Fallout 4 was the one for E3 2014. KOTOR 3 is a pipe dream, I'd love to see it and it could happen eventually but it doesn't seem like anytime soon that's for sure.

Most of that stuff is in the PS4 app in NA. It seems like they focused on that this year.

Not untill they shut down Old Republic I suspect.
Still confused as to why people say KOTOR3 for the next entry when Bioware has said that The Old Republic MMO is the third entry. Anything after that would be KOTOR4. Thats as bad as the Warcraft fanboys screaming that they want Warcraft 4 when even when Chris Metzen himself said that WoW is Warcraft 4. Just because the game goes a different route doesn't mean it's not part of the series.

Must admit I am massively disappointed with Sony at E3 this year. Personally all this E3 has done is shown me my desire of getting a PlayStation for the games Nintendo misses (third party) was true. Sony themselves have nothing, absolutely nothing, I am interested in. If it wasn't for my Trophy collection - sadly become addicted - I'd switch to the Xbox One as it has one - ONE - exclusive I want, Sunset Overdrive. Sony, at the moment, have nothing for me.

I've been through every video of every game I could find now and I have to say that I am glad the Wii U get's some dearly needed life-infusion. But most of it is not for me and certainly no system seller at all. It's all already-treated terrain except maybe Splatoon. Zelda looks nice (for WIi U) but I think I've played plenty like it (just with different setting, other chars). I do get the appeal of it all to Nintendo fans though, that said Im glad Nintendo is not dead yet. I personally found more than 5 Games I'm looking eagerly forward to and enough of them will keep me busy easily into 2015. I understand different tastes and all but I really don't understand people saying the E3 and the conferences sucked. There were WAY worse E3s and I think we can universally agree that it wasn't "rock bottom" - if it was good or excellent depends on your personal game choice obviously. I just don't get people that were waiting for that ONE announcement (for example Last Guardian or Fallout 4) and because it wasn't there EVERYTHING was poop. For now I can keep myself busy with...
- Watch_Dogs (going for Plat) - Metal Gear Solid Ground Zero (got hyped again after seeing new Trailer, borrowed it from a friend, going for Plat) - Elder Scrolls Online PC (playing with my friends, transferring to PS4 asap) - Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition (this will eat all my time) - Destiny (this will eat all my time) - The Crew - GTA V (gonna triple dip on this - had it on Xbox360 before I switched sides to Sony, then on PS3, it's just that good) - Broforce (following this game since Alpha, loving it) - Planetside 2 (loved it on PC, release on PS4 is long overdue) - Project Cars ( also following this game since Alpha, loving it)
with that alone I'm well into autumn/winter and holiday season and beyond into 2015 and then comes a whole bunch of other games im interested in, namely:
- Bloodborne - MGS Phantom Pain (never played MGS before, Ground Zeroes got me hooked) - No Man's Sky (Epic!) - Rise of the Tomb Raider (seriously enjoying where this franchise is heading, going to pickup "Tomb Raider" for cheap sometime and play it before this) - Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (yay! COOP, loved the guardian of light) - FarCry 4 (looks epic and has Troy Baker) - The Devision (far way out probably but looks awesome) - Rainbow Six Siege (awesome!) - Mortal Kombat X (looks stunning, big fan of the franchise) - EverQuest Next (most anticipated game in a decade, IF it makes 2015) - Star Wars Battlefront III (DONT mess this up EA) - Uncharted 4 (no explanation needed)
And here and there are still games unannounced or indies I might pick up inbetween. So seriously. My gaming hobby is well fed with content probably until Winter 2015 and beyond, considering E3 next year will yet again unveil many more games. For me, best game in gaming since the golden early 2000's. The only thing I dearly wish for still (but abandoned all hope really) is something in the scale of BATTLEFIELD 1942 (which was the best big battle shooter EVER) - Planetside 2 will have to fill that gap for me.
IF I still have time (self-employed, im on a time-budget really) I'd pickup several Vita and maybe a few 3DS games here and there as well.
Loving it!
Lost interest when you suggested Zelda isn't a system seller. That's like saying we don't need oxygen. Only No Man's Sky came close graphically to Zelda. All these games we'll be playing over the next year or two will look dated in five years. Zelda and No Man's Sky won't because of their art style. For example Uncharted one looks nowhere near as good as Wind Waker does now.
I LOVE Zelda...loved Link Between Worlds, Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, never got around to skyward sword...anyways, I don't see what everyone is so big about this Zelda reveal. I feel like it didn't really show anything significant - it's not like that open of a field wasn't found in twilight princess or such. I'm not saying it looks bad...or that it doesn't have the chance to be amazing, I just wasn't really impressed with this specific reveal. But everyone else doesn't seem to agree with me, so I guess it hit a mark with people anyway.

I liked the reveal not just because it looked absolutely stunning but because of the improvements and vision Eiji Aonuma shared, this entry is easily going to be the biggest most free in the entire series and I can't wait.

What the? I said Zelda is no system seller for me. Guess what? Uncharted 4 and other great stuff that was announced at E3 are obviously no system sellers for you, so what? Different tastes. But you come over like someone who only loves Zelda, and the more a game looks like Zelda, the more it's a winner, regardless of all other aspects and qualities a game might have. This doesn't put you into the best light mate. Different tastes are fine, but what you suggest (since you like analogies) is a bit like hating every car that doesn't look like a mini cooper...

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.
Into the round about the Zelda reveal, it was nicely animated and looked good for Wii U, but as I stated before, for me it showed nothing new (yes maybe new to Nintendo, new to the franchise, but not new to someone who played across 6 different systems in the last decade). Also I don't like how defensive and protective some people - especially Nintendo fans - get when someone dares to not like their beloved franchises. Enjoy your game folks but don't make it look like Nintendo is the only company who knows to make games.

Not trying to be rude but your wording was a tad poor and was most likely misinterpreted.

If that's what you mean then fine and apologies - but it isn't what you wrote (as Jazzer94 has also pointed out). You said "But most of it is not for me and certainly no system seller at all" which suggests you're saying that it wasn't for you and also is not a system seller at all, not it's not a system seller for you. Also keen to know how me saying it's a system seller and how the graphical style of Wind Waker and one such as No Man's Sky makes them look better and more timely than other games years later makes me sound like I love only Zelda. Pretty sure No Man's Sky is already nothing like a Zelda game, making your analogy rather pointless.

Believe me, Sony has fans just as bad anything Nintendo's got. Possibly worse. I've called Mario Kart Wii all sorts and been asked why I think that and told why they think I'm wrong. I called The Last Of Us "brilliant in every way other than the game itself" on here and got death threats and someone hoping my unborn baby dies. All three console makers have moronic fans, don't try and pretend it's mainly Nintendo.
Back on topic, I'm still massively disappointed by E3 2014. All three presentations had their moments but the sheer boredom throughout Halo, that Sony guy babbling on for three hours and the new Yoshi and Kirby games spoiled all three. They'd all get six from me, Sony being (just about) the worst thanks to that guy and nothing interesting (for me) being shown for THIS year. Splatoon is the overall highlight just because it looks like being so much fun.

There will be a new Shenmue the same time The Last Guardian is released.
LOL, you just had to add more salt to the wound with that HL3 crack, but sadly, it's true.
Whoever launches first next gen (likely Nintendo) should throw money at Sega and Valve to get Shenmue 3 and Half-Life 3 as launch titles. Imagine the hype. Then imagine (if it's Nintendo or Microsoft) if they announce they've bought Last Guardian and finished it or if Sony that they've finished it themselves... Would be amusing to watch fanboys from all sides struggling to admit how much they want them or slagging off a game they've long wanted.
