I got my code and I believe Beta begins tonight 3PM GMT, I'll be spending most of the weekend as an Orc slicing up smaller folk. If anyone wants to gang up, create a guild, I suppose it can be arranged here.

Have fun mate. Would have liked to have got a code but..you gotta be in it to win it I guess. Hope it's good. Might get the full release.

Really wanted to get in to this beta, however didn't get in. I've been wanting eso since announced, let us know how it runs on ps4 please, have fun!

I signed up for the Beta but never got a code [sad face]. I loved Oblivion and thought Skyrim was one of the best RPG's I'd ever played, so I'm rather gutted that I didn't get access to the beta. I'd love to know how ESO compares to the previous games.

Not sure why but nothing I saw about this ever appealed to me half as much as FFXIV:ARR. I guess it doesn't help that a lot of the early feedback I heard was pretty poor for the PC version. Oh well, enjoy man, be interesting to see how you get on! I doubt I'll be picking it up either way, as I just don't have time for another mmo, when I already play ARR little enough as it is, but if it's good enough I may be swayed!

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!

I gave it quite the run on the PC and its definitely one of the better MMOs these days. All those naysayers and "critics" out there at the launch of the game were your usual "0-point-crowd" from Metacritics. It has its problems, like any game, but writing it off just so, if you have the slightest interesst in MMOs, RPGs or Elder Scrolls is wrong imo...

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.

Saying that, when FFXiv:ARR was originally released on PC it was generally seen as just an awful game. After 12 months they fixed a load of stuff and i think the PS4 version of FFXiv is just amazing. I've just got to lvl42 and I keep coming back and playing it. I dread to think how many hours I've put in.

Hopefully Bethesda will have taken all the negative feedback on board and tweaked the PS4 version and made it better. I'd really like to know how it compares to Skyrim as I thought that was a brilliant immersive game.

I think another reason why it got sh*t reviews at the start is because everyone plays it as an mmo and not a eso game. Im turning all effects off and playing it in first person as if it was Skyrim/Oblivion even if I am at a disadvantage. Really enjoy mmo's too so sounds great for me with th eso lore.

So I was watching the trailer for Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on the PSN Store, and at the end it said no online subscription needed. Usually I'm against online only games, but an MMO I can understand. Problem with MMO's is they all require online subs, but if this game is a one time purchase, I think I may take a head-first dive right in.

So I'm curious, has anyone played this game on PC? And if so, what are your thoughts. I've heard some say it's pretty bad, others say it's really good. Who's right?

I ain't played the PC version, I haven't played any elder scrolls game and I've never gotten into MMO's as I don't do PC gaming full stop. I can say its very good though from the Beta, I would suggest waiting to see if the full game works properly though as PvP wasn't really tested in the beta.
As for micro transactions there are none. ESO plus gets minor experience boosts some extra content and a few cosmetic items that are non transferable. The game currency gold is unaffected and can't be purchased as far as I'm aware.

Yeah from what I could tell in the beta, the premium stuff is very much just bonus content, mostly in the form of aesthetic customisation options. Hopefully the finished product is the same.
