Topic: Far cry 5

Can anybody tell me how and when I can download far cry 3 via the Far Cry 5 season pass?

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition isn't out until June. But if you have the season pass for FC5, you can grab it 4 weeks earlier.

They don't want you playing 3 until you have given 5 a good chance... I was hoping it was available on release too but then read the small print. 4 weeks early for being a Season Pass owner doesn't make any difference to me - its not as if the game is totally new and can't be spoiled...

I just started but to me, it feels a lot more like Far Cry 3 which is a good thing IMO. I am finding it a bit harder than 3 or 4 but that might just be because I haven't really upgraded anything yet.

I'm really like the guns for hire stuff. They work like followers in Skyrim or Pawns in Dragons Dogma.

It's also a really good looking game on the Pro at least I can't speak for the base PS4.

At the end of the day, it's just more Far Cry. The didn't reinvent the wheel but if you enjoyed the other games I would recommend 5 for sure.

@Splat according to Digital Foundry, the game is looking good on both systems. It seems the only difference is resolution and at 1080p on a 1080p TV should still look sharp and pristine. The Pro version seems 'higher' than they have been advertising on TV (1440p was stated but they say 1620p). I didn't buy for PS4 and haven't started it on the Xbox X yet but its still looking good in this video and I expect that the PS4 version will be definitely the best of the base consoles. The PS4 will certainly be the best HD console version (not counting super-sampled Pro or X version) but those of us with a 4k HDR TV and a Pro/X will certainly get the best console version visuals...

I will say the water could look bit better. It doesn't look bad but after playing AC:O I got spoiled.

Are you supposed to kill dudes and liberate Fall's end? Cause when I arrived there it was just a normal town with missions lol

Far Cry 5 is quite different from Far Cry 4 in some respects, but I'm only 10-15 hours in or so.

For one thing the map feels more open, where you don't have to beat the areas in a certain order. There are no towers to climb, instead you get new missions by talking to people. You can have pets to accompany you, as in Far Cry Primal or Skyrim/Fallout. Your pet can also revive you if you "die". It's a much harder game than Far Cry 4, as you die very easily. You can fish and hunt to earn extra cash (things are quite expensive in the game). Oh, and you can create/customize your own character.

It's hard to put into words, but the gameplay feels more free than in Far Cry 3, Primal and 4. That's the biggest difference to me. This and the fantastic atmosphere are the best things about the game in my opinion.

Other aspects are very similar to Far Cry 4. You take over bases and do side-missions. You can fly and drive anything that moves. Lots of wild animals. Plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor. Crafting elements.

This is probably my favourite Far Cry game alongside Primal.

@AFCC I've read that this mission can be bugged. You apparently have to wait for a radio transmission before the event will trigger for the town. It has to pop up as a mission. People have have tried different things to trigger it: leave the area and reload, get some hired guns, go to John's Gate and free some people, do one of the side-missions, and so on.

My only real complaint so far is that it forces you in to story missions at times.

Are the Far Cry 5 season pass games out to play yet as I have redeemed the code with the gold edition but cant access them - sorry if this has been asked b4

@paulrr If you are on about Far Cry 3, then please see my response below.

If you are on about the DLC content, the game has only just been released, these things are usually out a month or two after the game has been released.

If I buy the far cry 5 gold edition,does it still include far cry 3? Or was that only for the preorders?

There has to be a few people in this thread, that purchased the gold edition in the last 2-3 months that would know.Anyone?

That is a yes btw. If you have the gold version, that comes with the season pass which contains all the DLC and Far Cry 3. Pre-ordering the game only gave you Far Cry 3 Classic Edition four weeks before everyone who did not pony up.

Thanks @JohnnyShoulder I did do a search for does far cry 3 still come with far cry 5 gold pass,but got no good results. Looks like I will be getting it now,they have the gold version for 35.99 euro for plus members on the ps store.
