So here we go again, another highly anticipated game by Ubisoft. I'm skeptical just because it's from Ubi but on the other hand I'm intrigued by the setting and the ferocity of it all. I also love the idea that it is centered around you being a beastmaster, able to tame and control animals. I'll hold out until reviews are in and THEN decide but it's one of the few Ubisoft games that made it onto my radar.
Thoughts?

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.
I normally enjoy Ubisoft games and have enjoyed the recent Far Cry games but this one just does not grab me at all I liked the direction the series was going. But now if gone off at an angle. So will be giving this one a miss.
I just got this game from Gamefly today and have been playing it the past few hours. I have to say I am enjoying it alot. I couldn't get into the Far Cry series except for Blood Dragon but this one is alot of fun. I just love going around and exploring things not feeling rushed to complete some sort of goal. Looking forward to being able to ride a sabers tooth tiger.
It's good but Blood Dragon is still my favorite but that's do to all the 80's refrences lol.

I'm just patiently waiting for a significant price drop to grab this one. It may not happen until later in the year, but I'm okay with waiting that long for it. It had my attention when I saw the premiere trailer, and I've heard pretty much nothing but great things about it since release. I was surprised there wasn't much feedback here at Pushsquare.
@Thrash13: Yeah I would recommend a price drop. As story goes there isn't much of one. Gather stuff, kill stuff find people to join your tribe, upgrade stuff like weapons and your village. Don't let the lack of story fool you though there is alot to do in this game and it has given me hours of play. I paid 25 for my copy through Gamefly which feels about right.
Also if you are into trophies this game is pretty generous in giving them out.

I just got my copy, can't wait to try it, the animal feature seems awesome, i only played far cry 3, but i loved it. As anyone finished the game? Is it long?
I'm in the middle of it right now so not sure how long it is? That said I'm enjoying it. I would say using animals to do your dirty work is the best part of the game.
The story is "ok" but I have never really played a Far Cry game for it's story telling.
@Xaritah I got the platinum after 45 hours. If you focus just on story I reckon you could rush through in 16-18 hours.
However it does help spending some time to built up the village as the upgrades will prove useful later on.

@Fight_Teza_Fight i will defenatly do a lot of side quests, i'm addicted to that, for example i've played 70 hours of ffxv and im still at chapter 7 😂 i won't play more of ffxv (waiting for chapter 13 patch) i'm gonna focus on far cry,45 hours seems perfect for what i'm looking for now 😆 thanks for your help ☺
@Xaritah No problem. Just note if you are going for the platinum, which is very easily achievable in Primal, Survivor mode actually disables one of the trophies (Owl Kills).
I found that out the hard way haha.
