Hello folks, I know I probably won't make too many friends by asking the following:
Anyone else but me thought Flower was overrated and the controls are horrible?

Don't get me wrong, its not a bad game and I welcome the creation of games focused on a novel idea, but besides looking nice it didn't do much for me really, and the controls, oh the controls. It's 2014 and I still have to put up with wiggly wiggly  controls on my new shiny PS4? Or did I miss the option to use the twin analogue sticks? This motion tilting sucks. I hate it. And honestly I cannot remember a single game having some kind of motion controls on a single system where it played a major role and was well executed, always feels like an inadequate tack-on gimmick really.

Opinions?

Agreed. Its nice to see some innovation but the game all round for me was just under par.

I haven't played this game yet but I keep going back on forth on buying it.  For one thing it seems like this game is really hyped up but that seems to me anyway because of Journey.  While I do want to play Journey and I hope that it will come to the PS4 some day I think that the success of Flower is coming from that.

I think the controls were pretty spot on,....

Flower, it's not a game you'll probably play much, but it's worth the money alone for that first play-through, it really is a beautiful game, more so in concept and presentation than in pure graphics......a very pensive experience.

You can argue that *any* game is overrated.
Flower was different and up to a point, quite relaxing.
Maybe there'll be a PS4 port of Noby Noby Boy - elastic bands round the controller and leaving the console running 24/7. Ah such fond memories.
