Have to say I'm seriously impressed with the game. The world is just a joy to be in, the story is interesting enough and the characters and combat are brilliant. Not a huge fan of the gacha mechanic but it doesn't seem aggressive as the game gives you enough to get the job done. Was a bit surprised to find the battle pass which is locked until you hit Adventure Level 20 but it's to be expected in a F2P game, just found it odd to be hidden.
I'm currently Adventure Level 23 running my main team of Traveler (Female), Fischl, Xiangling and Barbara with a second team of Amber, Lisa, Noelle and Kaeya for puzzles, farming etc and I use Ningguang and Xingqiu as an expedition pair.
How are you guys enjoying the game? Likes, dislikes etc.
I'm loving the game so far! I was seriously skeptical due to the Free 2 Play nature of the game, but it's very much scratching that Tales/ Breath of the Wild itch for me. Once you get some of the other characters they're a blast to play. My boy Razor is my favorite so far.
Likes: Definitely the beautiful world, interesting regions and puzzles you come across. Personally I love the combat and synergies between different characters and elements as well.
Dislikes: Obviously I'd enjoy paying $60 for this game and having more things unlocked, but if they continue to support the game into the future I'm okay with the model it is using. Also, the obtuse nature of the systems. Watching youtube videos is really the only way to learn some of the more in depth upgrade systems and currencies within the game. Finally, the steep cost of the loot "wishes" and the extremely low chance of pulling a 5 star item from those. I understand they are supposed to feel special and rare, but the odds are a little too low in my opinion.
Overall very impressed and the game has definitely exceeded my expectations. I plan to continue to play it for a good while!
@elite690 - I wasn't put off with it being F2P but I really hate the gacha side of it and wish I could just buy new characters like Razor or Venti. I got lucky with the free pulls and got Fischl who is an S Tier character and definitely the best 4 star in the game.
That said you can get Xiangling for free who is a damage dealing machine and also Barbara is free and she's one of the best healers in the game so it does give you some quality characters for your team and some of the craftable weapons are fantastic too. Just a shame we can't outright buy stuff.
I'm getting to adventure rank 30 and can agree farming domains and bosses with limited resin is a little boring. The gameplay is fun enough to keep me coming back to do dailies and hope that content down the line will expand things. Just beat Boreal in the Domain of the Wolf and that was a very fun fight.
Having put 1000's of hours into Warframe and the Destiny games I'm nowhere near getting bored yet. I kinda like grinding for drops and fighting the same bosses over and over. Weird, I know.
@elite690 - Yeah the resin economy is a bit crap. I've been setting a routine for ascension material runs as soon as I log in then playing again before the world reset so I'm getting another 120 refill while I'm not playing. I have a load of Fragile Resin for emergencies but so far I haven't had to use any.
Couple of random tips: Go to the Cathedral in Mondstadt and talk to the Nun on the left as you enter, exhaust her dialogue to get a guaranteed 4 star artifact. Once you get to Liyue Harbor, enter the bank and go upstairs for a chest that contains 200K Mora.
I love this game. My main team is Jean, Keqing, Xiangling, and Noele. I also use the Traveler (Geo), Kaeya, Keqing, and Amber for the puzzles.
I got really lucky with two 5 stars. Also, I don't know if you guys know this, but if you keep pulling on only one banner for 90 summons you get a guaranteed 5 star with a 50 percent chance to get the featured hero.
I would just pull the limited banner as that banner has less of a chance to pull weapons as 5 stars.
My only complaint is the resin economy. It's terrible.... The battle pass especially has daily tasks where you need to use 160... You have a cap of 120 though! What kind of bull**** is that!?
Other than that, I'm having a great time with it, I love the world and exploring it, and I'm really happy with my heroes. I'm still trying to get Venti. I have like, 70 more summons to go though in 11 days... So... Yeah. I dunno!
Just had a weird one in the Spiral Abyss, from floor 2-1 onwards I got booted after each room all the way up to 3-3. I cleared the event and claimed my free Xiangling and got all the floor rewards for each previous room I'd cleared. Now when I go there it has a checkpoint after 3-2 to enter 3-3 but says I haven't yet reached floors 2-1 up to 3-2. Highly strange!
@Constable_What - Yeah the daily to use 160 resin is BS to keep you playing. I use my base 120 as soon as I log in then play again later when my resin has refreshed. The refill rate of 1 every 8 minutes is glacial though.
@Shigurui I really hope that gets addressed. I'd like to see the cap get increased, but I highly doubt anything will happen with that for a few months to a year. There are rumors that the gatcha system might get changed a little and selection tickets will be given out, but I'd take it with a grain of salt.
Resin economy is terrible though. The cap really should be at least 160.

I got Venti earlier Also got a second Fischl in the same pull so I have Gaze of the Deep activated in her constellation for 22% extra ATK DMG. Wasn't even a pity summon as I got Keqing in my last pull. I'd been rolling for Diluc so I only did 3x10 on the Venti banner.

Anyway, anyone been pulling the new character banner? I've had crazy good luck with it. Didn't pull on the Klee banner so had a load of gems hoarded and managed to get...
Only problem is I don't have the resources to level them. I was mainly pulling for Ninnguang so all 3 of those were dupes for her constellation. Had enough materials to get her from 0 to 80 and now I'm broke!
