This thread is to discuss Gone Home without giving away spoilers.
So I started playing it today and have one question. WTF is the nature of this game? Is it all just walking and exploring stuff? Is their combat puzzle solving or anything. Mind you I am not complain just trying to figure out if there is anything more to this game?

@Tasuki: No, you're correct, it's just walking around. You explore the house and interact with everything you find. Slowly but surely several character arcs will unfurl.
@Tasuki: In truth I didn't like them when they were around the first time. I think that's why I have no interest in walking sims - couldn't care less if the 'story' is good (If I wanted that I could read a book, watch a movie or 'play' a campaign) but I game because I want 'game-play'.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
@BAMozzy: Lol that's now I feel about most games this gen. They try to hard to be like Hollywood movies. Even games like The Uncharted Series and Metal Gear are guilty of that, which is why it's hard for me to get into something like that. When a game has more story elements then gameplay I might as well just watch a movie.

The game is played on yourself. Go in blind. Find out whats happened. Come to your own conclusion. Talk about it on the spoiler thread. Realise your an idiot. Play it again and realise why you thought the way you did.
