After posting in the topic about PS4's lack of AAA announcements I thought there would be a really simple and easy way to CALM and HYPE people for upcoming games without revealing too much, too early.
Imagine a calendar, accessible on your PS4, Vita, PS3 and even via a webpage. On the top of the calendar, before the actual boxes representing months (upon clicking revealing the days) , there's a list with already confirmed games featuring their box art, upon clicking them it asks you if you want to go to the Ps store to pre-order them digitally or if you want to go to their date in the calendar.

The calendar itself is filled with those little icons of the box art of the games. BUT and here's the catch.
ALSO unannounced games are in their with an empty box art sitting around their planned/expected release date. Those release dates, usually goals set to hit early on in development, are known to all developers (of course). But since no one knows what game it is, there are no secrets given away, people would just know "holy crap, november is stocked full with games, yay" And if some release date gets pushed back, no problem, just put the empty box art somewhere else. But as long as the games are not officially announced its all work in progress. But people would know.
They would visually get and see how much is in the works.

There could even be notifications when a new game became available (officially) in the calendar.
Once active in the calendar people could even have the option to "yay" the game, so Sony would even have a direct and simple mean of measuring the hype surrounding a game, even before pre-order start.

I really wonder if anyone at Sony ever thought about something like that,
to me it's like a wonderfully elegant tool to market and hype their games and keep the community informed about - at least - the amount of games in the works.

No joke, I think you should be working in Sony's marketing department. This is a great idea.

Thank you mate.
It just came to me like boom.
I'd love to have a thing like that!

Its just common sense to have this. Sony are just poor at marketing all round. They seem to think that the greatness of their products will just sell itself. It's working for ps4, it isnt working so well elsewhere.

This is a genuinely great idea. I'm now questioning why no one has done this before. I feel like it would give people more to be consistently excited about to always see what games are planned or even coming out soon. Plus I bet it would help with sorting out things in one centralized place instead of the news trickling through the news sites.
