I don't know, guys. The PS4 is just around the corner; the Vita is still in desperate need of marketing; and the Vita V was just recently announced (and will hopefully be well-marketed). I wanna hear everyone's thoughts on whether you think Sony is trying to do too much at once. As for me, I'm just hoping they aren't shooting themselves in the foot. They have this huge console coming out very soon, and really have to try making the Vita more relevant fast.
The new Vita-2000 is pretty cool, but unless they actually get some commercials and promotions out there, it'll fall by the wayside pretty soon. The Vita TV just adds more to the jumble since their main focus will likely be on PS4 in the coming months. Unless they can promote both the Vita and Vita TV at the same time without diminishing the value of the other, I don't see how they're going to go about truly getting back the handheld market while juggling the largest launch in history. It makes me worried, but they've been spot on so far this year and I want to believe they have some sort of plan. Your thoughts?

I think Sony will be alright. I mean honestly handhelds have never been Sony's strong part. I mean the PSP was ok but didn't sell as much as the DS, Vits seems to just be having the same problems as the PSP did. However with the remote play of PS4 being an option I am sure that will help Vita sales.

True, but the remote play is the only "selling point" so far to people who haven't been keeping up with the Vita's going-ons. They've really only shown it as "Take your PS4 ANYWHERE! (with a decent connection)" but still have yet to really show why it's a great purchase even on its own. I'm just hoping that's not the approach they'll take with Vita TV.

I will admit that I really haven't been keeping up with the Vita but honestly I really haven't noticed any must have games for the Vita like I do with the 3DS. I don't know if maybe I am just missing them cause to be truthful I dont watch much tv, but I dont hear much about Vita which is a shame. I have only started to hear about it cause of the PS4 and the remote play and also the recent price drop. Still I just might pick one up when taxes come in and judge it for myself.

I dont think Sony are doing too much. Thats mainly due to them seperating the releases for eveything between different regions. While in the West we get the Ps4 in November, Japan get both the new Vita and the Vita TV instead as the Ps4 isn't released till February. Doing it this way is a good idea as they are not saturating either market with too many Playstation products. I am hopeful the Vita TV at least makes its way here. I already own a Vita (and a 3DS) but the abaility to play Vita games on the TV is quite tempting for me (Would be good to see how the IPS panel in my TV stacks up to the Vita's OLED ) Sony probably could have done without doing the VIta 2000 just yet but its understandable as it lowers manufactoring cost's and also the retail price, hopefully selling more Vita's. Im quite happy with the original model though
Well I see your point, but if they're going to do all this they should remember to support everything and be on top of it all. They're very capable of it, but I just hope they actually do it. >_<
