Topic: Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 OT

I wanted to make a OT about PVZ GW2, I just pre-ordered and hope other pushsquare users were going to buy it too.

In this thread we can set up matches or garden ops parties!

first of all what did everybody think of the beta? Did convince you to buy the game?

I only played the beta for about 30 minutes, pretty impressive........does it have a single player campaign though?

@sub12 I don't thinks so but pvz gw2 can be played offline and splitscreen across all game modes and 1 didn't support that.
Maybe the hubworld will support some kind of main quest but I don't think it has a fully fleshed out campaign. Would be cool though.

@sub12 apparently it will feature a story mode wich can be accesed through a portal behind the hub bases (the cornfield behind crazy dave's tree and the graveyard behind zomboss' mansion.)

@darkswabber I enjoyed the first game so much I told myself I'd get the next game for sure. Decided to get max rank recently because of the surprise (now called Loyalty Rewards). The beta was pretty fun, all the gripes I had with the characters are going to be fixed as they mentioned in their recent Live from Popcap stream (Jan. 29th).

I had no idea this one has splitscreen. Could be a fine co op game. Never tried the beta though.

It's out in america and it releases in europa tommorow (although some people in EU already have it and I expect to get my copy today)

Played the first one years ago, it was a time waster main but it was probably the best one of those games. I am not that big into tower defense games though.

@Tasuki I think you're confused with plants vs zombies itself...
garden warfare is a team based third person shooter.

I know that. The first one was a tower defense game IIRC and this one is PvZ2 which is a shooter type. I have seen it but I have yet to play it.

@Tasuki PVZ2 is a tower defense too, garden warfare is a spin off from PVZ, this one is the second shooter game. this isn't a sequel to PVZ but to PVZGW... sorry if I sound a bit harsh, don't mean it in any wrong way.

Popcap just announced a big free content update coming very soon and it includes balancing for the rose.
Game just released and already a big free update, more companies should be like popcap!

the game is so amazing!!! its almost technically flawless, plays like a dream and has an overwhelming amount of unlockables and game modes - its highly addictive! I hope they will work on some flaws the game has (unbalanced classes, sometimes game crashes) but besides that this is like the definitive online shooter for me - seriously, I didnt have that much fun in any online shooter the last years

@consolfreak1982 popcap will release a balancing patch this Tuesday. (Mainly nerfing rose)
I would like to play online, I'm from the netherlands and since your from austria it would make things much easier for me to play together. (From the 5 people I played online with 2 were from brazil, 2 from the USA and 1 from canada)
