I am still around, just been a bit of a weird one recently. I’ve been cycling like a lunatic to train for this ride across Britain gig (90 miles on Saturday and 130 on Sunday last weekend!) and on top of that I have split up with my long term (12 years) girlfriend a few weeks ago and things have been a bit emotional, so all told I’ve just been pretty preoccupied and just trying to stay positive about things. Turned the PS5 on for the first time in about a month tonight, going to play an hour of Dark Souls 3. Anyway, still reading the website every now and then but not really been following the news. Actually, a lot of the comment sections look pretty bloody ridiculous recently.
I’ll probably be laying low for a while yet but I’m sure I’ll get active on here again soon, much to some of your disappointment 😘
@JohnnyShoulder I play FPS , fighters , and MP games so I use the left-analog a lot ; and I play video games a lot in general . Maybe you don't play as ''demanding'' games and/or have a busy schedule to where you don't use your controllers as much as me .
because im telling you , from my experience with these controllers , they're trash for me . They all have the same problem with the left analog going bad. I never had this problem with the Xbox360/PS3 controllers or any other controllers. Thats not to say they didn't have their problems - but this specific analog issue they didn't have .
btw, the only problem I ever had with a DS4 was stick tearing on the launch model (very common, they revised the materials after launch and it wasn't happening in newer ones)
yeah , in sacrifice of making the entire controller of cheap material now , lol . despite the crappy analogs going bad , at least the tearing is gone ! whew , what would I have done if they never fixed that . id have to buy those cheap little analog covers over a (now) $90 PS4 controller! Oh the horror!
I see them all the time at places like Gamestop, Walmart and Target.
Where do you live , Paradise ? An area with a small population or what ?
It's been over a year here . I feel like I'm the only one with a controller dilemma . If it's sold out here in the second most populated state in the U.S. then I know places like Cali aka sony land is sold out too . New york as well ...
I also want to mention that the Controllers that crapped out on me are all still very much functional . its just that simple analog jittering/stuttering ; but overall to a person whose unaware of my controller problems they'd probably have no problem using it for the most part.
I felt i needed to mention that , because i think i may be exaggerating the overall quality of the ps4 controller. its just the analog for me .
@nomither6 I had the exact same thing. It would move a character extremely slowly forward which doesn’t sound that bad but got really annoying until it started fully drifting.
@nomither6 I play about 25 hours a week, sometimes more. Probably don't play as many FPS or fighters as you. Wasn't dismissing your issues, just stating my experience with the controller. I would probably be just as annoyed as you if I was having the same issues with my controllers.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
