I am trying to decide what headphones to buy for my PS4 I am thinking it is between the Turtle Beach 500i and the senheiser game one. Has anyone got any of these or could reccomend something else. Or maybe the 400i was not sure what the difference was with the 500i. Thanks
I could do with some help also. I wanted to get the sony gold ones purely for the surround but im not sure its worth it.
The mic sounds distant and like an echo. I was also looking at rumble headsets. Can anybody help?
1 headphone or 2? If your after chat and party gaming the one I own is durable and good quality. I will get the model (im not by my ps at the minute) if its for that. As for Surround sound I own a set of gaming headphones which I've used twice which are quality - not true surround sound but have a bass boost and expander mode which stretches the speaker L R spectrum and sounds great, but that has a weird air sound when it goes quiet. Again let me know and I will get the model.

I use the Turtle Beach Elite 800's and they are excellent. The mic is built into the ear-piece and I have never had anyone complain about the voice quality. Audio is superb too with a lot of presets to enhance the sound in a multitude of ways. They are totally wireless as well as rechargeable too. I know these are very pricey though but they are by far the best headset I have owned.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

@themcnoisey party chat and gaming chat is the one I am after. I have got a pair of headphones which do a decent job if I am just gaming or listening to music. If you could get the model that would be great.
@bamozzy I did look at the elie 800's I am just not sure I can afford that much as I want to get the Sony VR next year. Thanks for the feedback though. Turtle beach seem to be a good company for gaming headphones
@dryrain: I can vouch for @BAMozzy headset - good quality, you could hear every word. Even when he was shouting at me lol. Give me a few minutes.

@dryrain: I know the TB Elite 800's are expensive. They are definitely a premium headset and in direct competition with the Astros. They are more than I intended and wanted to pay for a headset. I opted for these though because they are totally wireless and being Bluetooth, they can pair with other equipment too - so not just for gaming. It has presets for gaming of course including one to make footsteps louder in FPS games but also presets for music and movies too. Sound quality is superb - I like a more heavy Bass sound - something the Sony Golds I hear are not so strong on - I can't vouch for this as I haven't got them - but a lot of reviews have said this. The TB's have Dolby surround sound. I thought my TB XO7's (I bought for my XB1) were good but these are on a whole new level.
If you get the chance though, go into a gaming shop and ask to give various headsets a try. You could find that something someone recommends doesn't deliver the sound you want as something else in the same price bracket. There are a number of 'video' reviews on youtube of gaming headsets as well.

If you want cheap and reliable boosted Stereo I'd recommend the Turtlebeach P12, if you want lots of features, reasonable price and compatibility across all systems I'd recommend the Turtlebeach PX24 and personally, after LOTS and LOTS of testing I settled with the Hyper X Cloud II, you get perfectly balanced crystal clear Stereo with a wide soundstage, perfect mic, perfect comfort and a virtual surround 7.1 USB soundcard (works unreliable on PS4 though, more for PC) for just under 100 Euro! If you prefer natural perfect sound, try the Hyper X, if you want bass the P12 pack a punch, the PX24 are inbetween with lots of features.

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.
I have the Sony silver wired headset. The earpieces are really comfortable, fits well on my head and the sound is good. The headset companion app is pretty cool too. You can make sound profile for specific games if you're into that kind of thing.
