@RogerRoger I enjoyed the base game of Sims 4 on PC for a little while, but got bored of it soon enough. It just felt like the base game was a bit lacking in content, with the many DLC packs having all the good stuffs.
@RogerRoger Not played the most recent one, think the last time I played it was on 360. I found the novelty soon wore off and it became quite an annoying experience to play.

@RogerRoger I think a new set of games might be introduced shortly, as some games offers ends on the 27th August whilst others end next week.
I take it you did not grab Deus Ex when was with ps+?
If you are after a Sims like experience, I noticed My Time at Portia was in the Games under £16' section. I don't know that much about I'm afraid but I recall reading a review on it and they seemed to rate okay, as a 7 I think.

@RogerRoger I am curious to hear how you get along with Infamous. Are you going to play the original on PS3 first, then Infamous 2, then Second Son or just skip straight to the PS4 game?
Honestly, it’s been years since I played the PS3 games and I wonder if they will hold up. I know Second Son holds up fairly well both gameplay-wise and technically. I recommend the First Light DLC, which works well as a stand alone game actually, but it’s best played after SS so you can meet Fetch in the original game first. Think of it like what Lost Legacy is to UC4.

@RogerRoger Yeah, there’s a risk with any purchase. I sure hope I’m not leading you astray with Infamous. We did well with the Detroit recommendation, but I hope it will be 2 for 2. I think if you like comic book storylines and can tolerate another action, parkour, open world / sandbox type of setting where you wander around doing missions, then you’ll be okay. It might be similar to my recent experience with Witcher 3 though - in the sense that the game was ground-breaking and wonderful at the time of its release, but over the years many games have recycled ideas from it and in some ways improved upon it. Infamous is kinda like that. I think when you play it, it’ll feel pretty familiar. It whips up the ideas in a pretty good soup though. But like when I tried Witcher 3 recently for the first time I was expecting to be blown away and although I thought the game was perfectly fine and a good game, it didn’t quite become this transcendent gaming nirvana that I expected because so many games have utilized and even improved upon its mechanics in recent years. Just want to prep you for some realistic expectations. I only did one playthrough of each of the Infamous games, and (surprise, surprise) I chose to play the hero each time, rather than the villain. I’ve heard tell that some of the evil powers and morality mechanics are more fun to play around with, but I just couldn’t bring myself to kill innocents, wreak havoc and wanton meaningless destruction and whatnot. I like to be the good guy.

@RogerRoger Lol, that’s true about North. Well, I don’t think it’s a spoiler to tell you that despite my high opinion of Infamous in general, it does have one of the most annoying characters in gaming — Thankfully a minor side character though. Cole McGrath is great as a protagonist and Delsin is pretty decent, although a weaker character but more fun to play as, if that makes sense. Fetch is both a really interesting character and fun to play as. I was actually reading a few reviews again to remind myself about the games and I came across several that (contrary to my earlier recommendation) actually say it would be better to play First Light before Second Son. That’s obviously not the order they were released, but I can see where they are coming from. First Light is a mini version of Second Son with a lot of the fat trimmed, so to speak. A much more focused experience and might be better to whet the palate for the longer, deeper commitment of Second Son. You’ve got plenty of time to worry about that though, since you’re doing the PS3 games first anyway. This talk is making me want to revisit these games!

@Kidfried Personally I would to wait to buy any dlc until I'm nearer finishing the game. I've mentioned before that I've got a poor record of buying dlc, with buying it and by the time I've finished the main game I've had enough of it. I usually have good intentions of going back to but most of the time never do. Think is especially true for longer games. For example, I was playing the dlc for Borderlands 2 yesterday and I wasn't really enjoying it as I've just recently beat the Pre sequel. It felt like a bit of a slog.
The dlc for Orgins is frequently popping up the sales I've noticed, so you could always wait to see how you feel when you are closer to finishing the game?
@Kidfried Loved Origins and played the DLC back-to-back around nine months after I completed the base game.
The second piece is definitely the more interesting of the two packs as it incorporates many mythological elements. It's also much more substantial to boot, with a great new location to explore in Thebes and the Valley of the Kings. The first pack feels more like an extra slice of vanilla Origins, which isn't a bad thing, though as a result carries fewer surprises. As with a lot of DLC neither pack felt entirely "necessary" given how nicely the end of Origins wrapped things up, but at the same time it was nice to be back in Egypt and Bayek's shoes.
@Ralizah I enjoyed the DLC for Spiderman as much as the main game. It pretty much gave me more of the game I enjoyed. For $10 it's definitely worth it.
@Ralizah I thought the DLC fine at best. It was pretty much just more of the same with a few new enemies. A bit like the discussion elsewhere on the forum over Assassin's Creed DLC, I went straight into it after the main game and felt it dragged but if you were coming back to it after a bit of time away from the game then I imagine it would be more fun.
I've only played the base game @Ralizah and I kinda held off the DLC as it didn't seem to vital to play, plus I heard it was just more of the same from various reviews across the net
Really enjoyed the game mind you... I assume the season pass/DLC is like 15 dollars if not on sale (And I think that's been on sale a few times) so you could just get the base game now and the pass later if Spidey takes your fancy
