This game rocks, so refreshing to get a quality 3D action-patformer in 2016.

I really wish I could play it. If it's not obvious enough, I'm a huge fan of the series. It's my most anticipated game this year.

At least I won't have to wait when I finally get a PS4. I'll definitely get it the instant I get the console.

Yes, not only is the game just about fun and nothing more (which I needed after The Division and Quantum Break, which while great are very bleak kind of games) it is simply stunning in motion.

It's a real nice change of pace from "serious" games. It is also one of the best looking games this gen.

I'm with you guys . Only about an hour in so far, but it is a really nice change of pace from the more serious ones (I just finished Arkham Knight).

Played three levels so far, started the city one. Really glad that so far only one of them was a total carbon copy of the ps2 game, and even then the gold bolt wasn't where I remember.

It won't hit the UK until 22nd April but I'm glad you guys are enjoying it elsewhere! Glad to hear it's just good clean fun. I'm glad there's a new fun 3D platformer back in town.

Also, the visuals look gorgeous and the amount of things happening on screen is insane! Pre-ordered!

There was a game idea here. It's gone now.

@DerMeister:

It's kinda interesting, your profile says your a platformer fan, but your 20, so you missed out on most of the initial, big 2D and 3D platformers (at least their launches). Or did you start during the PS2 era (Ratchet, Sly, Jak) and branch of from there? Just curious.

@sub12 Well, I started playing games on my mom's SNES, when I was around 3 or 4. My first game was Super Mario World, and she also had Super Mario All Stars. After that, I got a PS1 when I was 5, and while my first game was Crash Bash, I would eventually get the Crash platformers, and from then on it took off. I got a PS2, Sly being one of my first games on it, first experienced Ratchet in 2005 with the 3rd game, and over the years I would even play some of the bygone platformers, like Mario 64, Rayman, and DK Country. The only major series I haven't played yet is Mega Man, along with some other footnotes like Klonoa and Conker.

@themcnoisy In time my friend.

Meanwhile, how's everyone enjoying the new R&C?

@DerMeister:
It's the game taken up all my free time when I'm off of work. Haven't had this much fun playing a game in the series since the PS2 days. I actually like the planets in this feel a little bit smaller than they did in the Future series. Sometimes a more condensed is for the better. There's still plenty to do and see it's just that exploring doesn't seem overwhelming or a chore in this game.

It's probably my favorite R&C game to date. Anyone that thinks it's just a "remaster" or a "movie tie" money grab is going to be pleasantly surprised.

This. Okay, it's confession time.

The only ratchet and clank I've played to completion is all 4 one, and that's because it was a fun game to play with my wife. I tried tools of destruction, but I felt like I was jumping too far into the series to get a feel for the characters (on rpg terms, I felt the same way about mass effect 2). I tried playing ratchet and clank 1 on the PS3 digitally, but it just felt too clunky and I again gave up.

But I absolutely love this game and would continue to play the series if they make sequels to this. I hope the sales do well.

Coming out the same day as Star Fox here in the UK, so will be going for that, then this at a later stage.

I genuinely don't think that I've played a platformer properly since crash bandicoot, which was my first ps1 game. I'm loving this to bits, it's the perfect antidote after grinding to a halt on the witness nearly put me off gaming.

to say the game is good would be an understatement - other developers should take this one here as an example of how to not only reimagine a well known series/brand, but also when it comes to game design, overall gameplay, technical presentation, and simple put humor and love for the details. I havent noticed a single thing whatsoever that could be seen as negative or bothering.
One of the most polished and - in terms of quality - best games the ps4 has to offer. Should not be missed by anyone

This game is just amazing they put everything good about ratchet and clank and stuffed it all into this game thou saying this I did have a really annoying bug where after finishing the game and unlocking challenge mode I went onto challenge mode and it was going good until the game crashed around the start of the game and when I hoped back onto the game my save was gone and I couldn't start a new challenge mode I have to start a new game entirely everything was completely wiped

@SKC_Diamond: Have you tried retrieving your Cloud Save? Unless if the save data is stored in their system like Destiny there should be a save data in your Cloud Storage.
