I was wondering, i really would like to play Batman Arkham knight but i haven't played Arkham Asylum or Arkham City before and I know that those will be remastered for PS4 soon but i don't know when it's coming yet. Can I play Arkham Knight without having played the first two games or should I wait for Return to Arkham to come out and play those first?

Retro games, Modern games, all AWESOME!!!
I would wait to honestly. If you have a PS3 or Xbox 360 you can find both games pretty cheap now. If you have a Wii U you can get Arkham City for that as well.

I have a Wii U but i would rather wait for the remasters because they will probably look and play better than on the wii u and i wanna have the full trilogy on ps4

The Arkham series is it's own self contained story, so you'll need to play Asylum and City before you touch Knight. It looks like you'll be waiting for the remasters if you don't want to find them on last gen.

Definitely play Arkham Asylum and City first. I'd say just go and buy the original copies for super cheap. I doubt there's going to be that much of an improvement in the "remasters" so I'd save yourself some money.
Its definitely the 'finale' to the trilogy - hence Origins is not part of any remaster. You really ought to play the 3 Rocksteady games in order and whilst they are kind of independent stories, they do kind of follow on as well - particularly Arkham Knight.
Asylum definitely has the best story but it is more linear which helps. City has its 'issues' as it can be easy to miss side missions and has a very annoying trophy (Calendar Man) but its great to be the 'Batman' and the first game that really lets you 'fly'. Knight really does follow City in quite a significant way - more so than City does from Asylum and brings the trilogy to a great end. A lot was made of the Batmobile and the parts its 'essential' on are 'weak' and I think overshadowed the rest of the game. The story though is good as are the easter eggs and of course the darker more psychological aspect too.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
Haven'y played Knight yet (the next game I'm going to start playing on ps4) but Asylum and City were two of the best games of the last gen (Asylum became one of my top 5 of all time in fact) and from what I know, Knight has many connections too these two games which would be lost on someone who hasn't played them. Wait it out I reckon
Arkham Asylum, City, and Knight were great, and I'd highly recommend all of them! That being said, I'd definitely wait for the remastered versions of Asylum and City at this point and play Arkham Knight after that. I've played through all of them, and I'm probably still going to get the remastered versions and go through them again.
They all look great and play great. Tons of stuff to do as well!
Don't know if you have already bought anything, but like the others said, you do not want to play this series out of order. Playing Arkham Knight in the beginning will spoil key elements of arkham city.
Arkham Knight is in my top five games of all time. It's a great achievement from the studio! You won't be disappointed! I'm actually playing through the Batgirl levels now. But yeah if you've waited this long you may as well spend a month or two playing through the first two!
Yeah its a good and interesting game. The Batmobile is SICK AS. However, its not like you can save civilians, as never seen before in any previous titles. It is always You vs everyone.
