Topic: Single Player or Multiplayer

With the rumour that RDR will be packing more multiplayer content than ever and the divisiveness in the comments heres a quick poll.

Please be honest and take a look at your gaming habits.

Are you a single player gamer or multi player gamer?

There is no choice for both, its either Single player gamer or multiplayer gamer.

Multiplayer gaming - and I do like some multiplayer games - tends to just not be for me. I like a story. And I like not interacting with the general public.

Single-player gamer, always.

Single player all day long. Very disappointing that more and more games are going away from it.

Both, if the games good, although by circumstance a lot of my gaming is single player these days. I think it's silly to dismiss multiplayer games and vice versa. If that's not an option in this poll, I abstain!

I am predominantly a single player gamer, but I enjoy MMO-lites like Monster Hunter and PSO. So, my vote goes to single player.

Single player for me with the very occasional dabble in multiplayer.

I far prefer single player experiences but I'm ashamed to admit that probably half of my gaming time is spent getting frustrated by playing FIFA online. It's an addiction goddamnit! I'm kind of glad I don't play FPS games too often otherwise no doubt I'd end up getting sucked into the annual Call of Duty and Destiny type games as well.

I'll likely dabble in RDR2's online features but I'm mostly hyped for the main story and single-player game.

Edit: In regards to the responses on this thread. I think it's pretty likely that the majority of gamers using gaming specific forums like this, and that follow the day to day news of the industry, are gonna be on the side of single-player games. Whereas more "casual" gamers will play online as that's where their friends are etc. It's really nice to have an online infrastructure nowadays where both can be enjoyable though tbh.

Kind of agree with that. Especially in these here forums. In the main stream gaming media the likes of pubg, overwatch, destiny etc dominate articles and often gain the most clicks and responses. But in the PS forums we tend to be about quality and varied immersive single player experiences rather than addicting games as a service competitive multiplayer. Anyway Roe whats your vote no sitting on the fence unless you come up with a great gif like @kyleforrester87

@themcnoisy Oh my choice is single-player games all day long. I genuinely dislike how much I play FIFA as that time could so easily be spent playing far more rewarding games.

I'm shocked this thread took this long to make.

I'm 90% single player, but I don't think multi player is this plague on the industry like some have been making it out to be in recent times, but the only game I really play online is Tekken. I used to play a healthy amount of Halo, but I haven't owned an Xbox since high school. I feel like I should also say that with how long I've played Tekken, my development as a player online is something I personally find just as rewarding as a grand single player adventure, but I know that it's not for everyone either.

@roe If you enjoy it keep playing bro! I was hoodwinked by pes 3/4/5 at one point in my life, it was great actually and I became really good. Sometimes playing loads of games and mastering none is a curse.

@DerMeister exactly multiplayer done right can be great. Its just associated with loads of crap no of us want. Great post.
