Topic: Sleeping Dogs DE Install Problem

Hopefully one of you guys can help me out here.

I got Sleeping Dogs today on disc I popped in the disc in my PS4 some updates installed no problem. However when the game is on the title screen there is a loading bar at the bottom. When I play the game I get through the first mission and a message says something like "You must wait for the install to finish to play the rest of the game." I went back to my PS4 home menu and nothing is installing when I click check for updates I get the No update message.

I tried googling the problem and alot of people have had this problem but no solutions. So anyone have an idea what to do? Why doesn't it appear on the PS4 home menu? And yes I have reinstalled and installed the game twice now and same thing.

When you look at the game on the PS4 home screen, is there a little white bar along the bottom of its icon? That means the install from the disc is still in progress and you'll need to wait for it to finish.

Even when that's gone I've noticed some games still seem to be installing things a fair while after you first insert the disc - it's designed so that you can start playing as soon as possible, but without being able to access all content until it's fully installed.

I would recommend booting up the game so you can be sure it's started installing, and then just leaving it 30 mins to an hour or so.

@SteveButler2210: Nothing on the PS4 home menu just that bar on the game's title screen. I am going to check her again in a few hours when I gotta get up for work and see if there is any change.

So an update to my problem. It seemed to install while I left it in rest mode over night. Game works fine no and I have access to everything now. Just was odd how Square went about this though. There was nothing like that with Tomb Raider DE.
